if mchale has lost his troops (we dont know that, yet), why? what has he done? that's what i keep thinking sometimes. esp. coming off a pretty good yr. from last season.

and jvg is the best disciplinarian in the league that i know of. and he's available.

It's happened several times before even with our own Rockets. Question is will it be too late, especially with the West being so deep? Or do we have mental fortitude to turn this thing around?

    Time will tell

Not so sure JVG's offense will be up to par but it will be better than Mchale. I'd take Thibs or Battier with a couple of good assistants.

thibs was jvg's protege. what does he do better than jvg?

and what has shane done as a coach? the ability as a player doesnt always translate into coaching. see mj for example.

i am not challenging your post. i know thibs and shane are popular names on this board. just curious to know.

I didn't pick them because the names are popular, lol. Thibs has shown that he can run a defensive team without the offense being completely stagnant. Shane Battier knows defense. He also knows the Princeton offense that Adelman ran. I think both Harden and Lawson would benefit. Battier is a great communicator and knows a lot about the game. If you get him a couple of good assistants maybe ex coaches if any are available that should help him. The NBA is changing JVG hasn't coached in 8 years.

    See McHale for another example.

Without Josh Smith, Pablo Prigioni, and a few others that I can't think of at the moment.

I'm very pissed off but I consider myself lucky I was forced to miss the last 2 games due to other obligations. I would be throwing stuff across the living room if I actually had to watch another putrid display by this team with no heart.

I'd take Shane Battier over Mchale any day of the week. Thibs as well.

Start Bev, or Thornton until Bev is healthy. Lawson is better with the ball in his hands, and having him and Harden's perimeter defense out there at the same time is killing us.

While I do think there is cause for concern, I'll point out last year's Cavs and the 2010 Heat were virtually .500 after November. There are going to be some growing pains when you either aren't fully healthy or have a major new piece. However, the cause for concern is that I have no faith in McHale to figure out the correct rotations.

Zero from Lawson, Brewer and Pat. Four from Thornton(who has been playing well of late). Shocking.

I am glad Jones finally had a big game, but to no avail however as a team.

McHale has no idea what to do. We do need a coaching change, even though that isn't the main problem.

The Cavs and Heat are also in the East.

It's Mavs + 5.5 tonight. I'm betting mavs, but rockets will win.

I got another Rockets loss. Pachulia has a big stat line and Dirk owns Jones. Matthews lock down Harden and old ass D-Will outplays no show Lawson. Barrea goes for 15 and Brewer goes for 0.
