    You're missing the main reason, the Cavs play in a weak Eastern conference where they could survive a mediocre start and then turn it on and get #2 seed. Rockets on the other hand will be fighting for the 7-8th seed in the West if they keep this up.

    Yes but they had Smith. They still had 2 power forwards with Smith and Jones.

    This year with D-Mo being out they have Jones and ???? Harrell isn't very good yet (although promising) and other than that they have to put Ariza at the 4.

    True, but they've also had a pretty easy schedule so far. Seriously, through 9 games they've had Denver twice, the Nets and Magic at home, at the Kings without Cousins and at the Clippers without Paul. The only tough ones were the Warriors, OKC, and at Miami(since Dwight didn't play).

    It's not D-Mo being out or Smith bolting to LA that's the problem. It runs way deeper than that.

    I'm sitting watching this game with someone who doesn't know much about basketball and I keep showing them how open the nuggets are. Now even they are saying "their wide open" lol

    What is wrong with these rims? Every damn time a ball touches the rim it bounces 5 more times on it.
