No sure. McHale is trying to prove to the world that his new system, name "no ball movement, no rebound and no defense" is the best system.

It will be bumped on Lin's next bad game. Guaranteed.

On an average Lin game, however, it won't be. (The again, perhaps the LOFs will see the average game as good, while LOHs will perceive the game as bad and it gets bumped anyway....)

That's three names in how many years?

The "pass-first" starting PG rarely wins an NBA championship. You can name a handful, but over the past 21 seasons, most NBA championships have been won by teams that started "shoot-first" or "leans shoot-first" PGs. That's a fact.

On the other hand, the "pass-first" backup PG almost never wins a championship. It's ludicrous to even acquire a "pass-first" backup PG (Scott Machado) in the first place. Teams need their 15-20 minute backup PG to shoot and make shots, supply instant offense off the bench, far more than they need him to distribute. If someone like backup JJ Barea was a non-shooter, but just a pure distributor, he wouldn't even be in the league as a backup PG!

What you should look at is before Jordan what team one a championship with a SG as the number 1 Option

Only 2 i can think of is Jordan 6Titles/ Kobe 2Titles as the 1 Option

Other PG who one L. Wilkins , Frazier, I.Thomas, the Big O

I Think teams win Championships with A good to great PG, SF, C on one team:grin:

Looking at history most teams win champonships with good PGs, you dont have to be a HOFer , most teams win with a Defensive PG who passes first and is good spot up shooter

    K.smith,Nate Archibald , Dennis Johnson

Wow Just looking at the history of the NBA Finals and almost every year since 1960 has had a good PG in the finals, in 50 years I see 9 combine teams who played against each other having a irrelevant PG, Last game where both teams didnt have a good PG

2001- Lakers Derek Fisher vs Philly Eric Snow

Any site needing cash would welcome traffic. If you find the new posters irritating, ignore. No different than if a senile old poster is irritating. It's not your place to decide who can or cannot join this site, so get over it. I bet if there was a bunch of new posters that came in and were pro-Harden, I am sure there would be much fewer complaints and less finger pointing. Judge a poster by what they post not their join date.

Eh? I'm one of the new guys, so I'd hardly object to being allowed in. And further, I have a high irritation threshold when people are yelling about anything that isn't me.

I was just saying that "Any site needing cash would welcome traffic" is not necessarily a true statement. Some traffic isn't worth the aggravation, some traffic drives other traffic away, and some traffic doesn't fit your view of what the site should be. I base this statement on personal experience that has nothing to do with ClutchFans.

To be more complete, I claim no knowledge of whether any of these thresholds have been reached on ClutchFans. My comment was intended solely to address the "He's laughing all the way to the bank" argument.
