He made good passes to CBud. 5 of those 8 assists are his.

Battier needs to grow a pair, and pull the trigger when his teammates set him up for open shots. He literally freezes when the rock hits his hands... his timidity is frustrating.

Step up to the plate, Shane. You're the captain, act like it. Quit hiding in the corner, and pissing yourself everytime you touch the ball.

It was a borderline call. I applaud him for at least trying to stop Billups from scoring instead of doing nothing. The refs made the call and I'm fine with that, but Brooks did the right thing.

settle down. making players earn their points from the line instead of getting easy lay ups is common in the nba, especially when you have fouls to give. did you see the replay ? brooks wasn't aiming for his neck... he reached behind him and grabbed what he could. "if you can't stop the basket, then don't foul" ? what planet are you on ?

Lowry is running the fast break, Shane is right near the basket. He passes it to him and Battier drops the ball like a hot potato. He wanted nothing to do with it. Either play like a basketball player or just GTFO if you are going to act scared.

He was also out there when they blew that lead they created lol.

17 assists on 20 buckets is crazy! Good to see we are sharing the ball and creating good looks for the open man

    trying isnt doing.

tell me, how is allowing 4 pts in 1 possession "the right thing"?

If I stop in the middle of an intersection on my green light so an old lady can cross from one side of the street to the other - yes im "trying" to do the right thing. The problem is now the light is red, theres cars coming the other way, and I cause multiple wrecks because I was stupid.

is Brooks doesnt foul, Billups score, Rockets are up by 2 and get the ball. With his play, Nuggets tie the game.

he made a mistake. admit it and stop defending his bad play.

    All ugly team....

    PG - Chris Andersen
    SG - Chris Andersen
    SF - Chris Andersen
    PF - Chris Andersen
    C - Chris Andersen

Can someone voluntarily make themselves any uglier? Every time I see him it seems like it gets worse. I thought Kenyon's "lips" tattoo would be hard to top, but Andersen EASILY did it.....

um, what planet am i on? This is actually a common phrase from coaches and commentators. You dont foul if you cant stop the basket because then they can get a 3-pt play. The problem in Brooks' case is that he couldnt actually for a real play on the ball, so reaching and grabbing him around where he did is almost an auto-flagrant-1.

stupid fouling isnt good defense. Theres a way to do it, and I just pointed out that what he did in this instance was not the right play. Yes, players do try to foul to stop plays - but not be grabbing around the shoulder and neck. Thats not smart basketball, and could hurt somebody, and gives the other team extra opportunities. all-around bad play.

Patterson has no fouls despite playing some great D.

He has just one rebound, but many of Miller's 8 rebounds are from Patterson's good box-outs.

And Adelman trusts him enough to put him on Carmelo Anthony for a few minutes while Battier gets a longer rest.

    Impressive.

So you're blaming Brooks for the basket they scored after Billup's free throws then? And what if Chauncey misses one of two, or both, and Denver doesn't score after? Then its a good play yes? In addition, your analogy has nothing to do with the situation that occurred. Brooks got beat, tried to grab Billup's arm, and instead accidentally grabbed his neck. Whatever, I am done. You guys will rip brooks for anything and everything. I'm done defending him.

seriously, why is this so hard for you to wrap your head around?

Brooks' play gave Denver an extra possession. Made basket or not, Denver got an extra opportunity to score. No, it would not have been a good play either way, and the only way it wouldve been worse is if they also made a 3 instead of just a 2. If Brooks pushes Billups underneath to try to change things, THEN theres FTs and maybe he makes it, maybe he doesnt, but Brooks isnt wrapping his hand in the high upper body and getting a flagrant.

anytime you give the other teams extra possessions, thats bad. Usually its a turnover that does it, but in this case it was just a poor way of fouling.

Shut up Bullard- that was obvious Scola hooking Kenyon Martin's arm and flopping to the ground.
