Battier came up BIG for us in the last 5 minutes. He stepped up when others went cold and when the game was getting away form us. GREAT GAME!

Are we playing like this for last 10 games? Woo, 7-2! This is ugly basketball, absolutely ugly! I really dont understand how in the world ROX can manage a WIN???! This is a pure jumper team, no one can attack the paint at all. It doesnt make any sense for this team to win!

    Whatever....... who knows

I told you fools to calm down, see, we won

If we lost, we'd probably see a thousand topics on T-macs poor FT shooting and how it cost us the game .. (it almost did, but T-mac made up for it with spectacular clutch PASSING) ;)

they won because battier was the ONLY guy who fought the whole game. battier is one hell of a tough cookie. 25 points and every single one of them needed from him

Battier sure knows how to talk, but i still give most of the credit to Battier. His 3's at the end, and that charge completely reversed the game.

that's fine for the first quarter, but once it becomes clear tmac is off, then he's pretty much off. plus, at the end of the 4th quarter, there's no reason to worry about a rhythm. karl was just stupid.

yeah, but tmac taking a 20 foot jumper is WAY better for the opposing team than head or battier taking a wide open 3. the 3 is worth more and they are more likely to hit it. maybe if you don't watch him all the time like us and you're a coach you're under the impression tmac can shoot when on nights like this it just isn't true.

Well the Jazz lost tonight in OT and the Mavs.. ( I hate them ) won in OT...I jut know the Jazz will slip sooner or later. They had such an easy schedule to start the season. We just need to keep finding ways to win...Wow 3 weeks ago we were asking to at least play .500 basketball til Yao came back and who would have thunk how well the Rockest have done...If on schedule Yao should be back in 3 weeks ? I don't think so....The Roxs are taking care of business though....

Do you even know how to read?

The team was mentally weak all night....ALL NIGHT...including Tmac....otherwise he would have been better at the FT line.

But, my biggest complaint about Tmac is that he is WORRIED about injuring his back and is playing soft....that is what I am talking about.....

But since all you like to do is argue with me, and you usually argue about a misunderstood point, you are THIS close to going on ignore...THIS close.

He hit the threes because he was open. He was open because of T-Mac. Battier knows what's up... why can't the rest of ya'll?

Teams know we have no inside presense without Yao... so the bigs on opposing teams simply camp out in the paint and dare Mutombo/Hayes to go out far enough to make them illegal (but also taking those guys out of offensive rebounding position, and rendering them useless because they can't hit open shots).

Good coaches will try and adjust their defenses to exploit us having Mutombo... the Nuggets almost pulled it off tonight (but forgot how to rotate on the pick and roll).

More teams will catch on... trust me, they still need Yao Ming.

He scored 15 pts in the first quarter and finished with 28. If you knew anything about basketball you would know that it means a lot to get a superstar off a hot streak. I think between his D on Iverson was vital to this win tonite.

AI started out 4/5 in the first 7 minutes of the game and only hit 6 of his last 16 shots. After the hot start, Rafer did a pretty decent job. He hustled a lot to deny AI the ball and contested his shots. Considering how bad the rest of the Nuggets are, we did good tonight to limit him to just 21 FGAs.

Also consider two of AI's FGs were 8 foot bunnies he shot over JL3. I think that's why still played 36 minutes even though his 2 point shooting (3/9) was way off again.

that only pertains to mac's presence, not his mental strength.

No doubt about it.....and Tmac is smart enough to defer to a wide open player....that is smart basketball.

Got to credit Tmac for having confidence in his teamates and making the right pass.

And got to credit JVG for going for the 3 ball after Iverson had tied the game.

I am just pissed that the game was even this close to begin with, the Nuggets were ACHING to get blown out tonight....all the Rockets had to do was play hard....and for some reason they coasted through the game....hopefully tomorrow night they will bring more energy.

that charge he took definitely the defenseive highlight of the night. i don't ever remember ANYONE on the rockets consistently taking charges like battier does. he just gets himself somehow into good position, it is kind of amazing.

    super kudos to cd
