Very good point about the vast difference between a multi-dimensional player like Bonzi and a one-dimensional player like Head.

Apparently, coach realizes this fact about Head too. I think several of us realized Head was overrated the last couple of years even though many fans refused to acknowledge this fact. Head only got as many minutes as he did his first couple of years because the Rockets were incredibly deficient in backcourt depth.

I still say we should have traded Head after last season while his value was at a career high.

Head will end up on the bench for the next few years. He will likely end up in Europe at some point since it is clear he will never be able to be an NBA PG and is too small and limited in his ability to be an NBA SG.

Agree -- the 8 boards and 4 steals were nice, though sure would be nice to get more consistent scoring out of him (2-9 tonight). His road FG% this season is now 30.1%.

After being so predictable (I thought) in the first 8-10 games or so, Adelman is hard to put a finger on right now.

Maybe it's an American ISP thing because I (and others) are in the same boat. The photos are appreciated, but the best thing for pryuen to do is provide the link to the photos and include one or two that stick out.

Reading Nachbar's lips there at the end when he was talking to Yao I made out the words "my house." I think Yao's gonna go over to Boki's place.

What if I do care about the man-crush? Why the hell would you care about my sexual orientation? Don't you think maybe I looked at the box score and read up on it already? Maybe you can stop being a d1ckhead and actually answer the question?

I didn't say anything about sexual orientation.

Anyhow, Jackson was apparently raving about Yao during and after the game.

Agree about Adelman. You have to wonder what's going on in his mind. Wheels within wheels? Showcasing? Still trying different combinations? All of the above? He looked to be in a good humor. Maybe playing the Nets will do that for you.

As for the photos, I'm glad it wasn't just me and appreciate the feedback. I like to see them and really like all the things pryuen does here, but it started to bug me a bit. Maybe it was just a freaky occurrence.

Off topic but, is anybody else watching Deron school Parker on ESPN?

I have always held the opinion that Parker is one of the most overrated players in the league, if not the most overrated player.

He is a product of a great system and would look like an average player on any non-elite team.

The proof will be after Duncan retires and the Spurs are no longer a top-tier team.

And he actually took the time to reply with his criticism.

Is there an English grammar thread somewhere on the web that we can recommend to him?

I just got back from the game. It was great!!

    Here are some random observations.

I sat behind the backboard and a lot of Houston fans were there too. It was hilarious to see most of the fans around me making noise when the Nets went to the line!

TMac was incredible. During warm ups before the game, he hardly missed an outside shot even from three. During the game, he shot pretty well and brought a roar out of the crowd with his dishes especially his behind the back pass.

Yao is a beast. It is hard to imagine someone that big playing basketball. He played quite well on both ends although I think he got the benefit of the doubt on a few no calls.

You cannot believe how little respect Rafer gets. On a number of sequences, he we simply left standing alone on the three point line. JKidd was doing this deliberately and most of the time, the Rockets couldn't make the Nets pay.

We have got to be one of the worst teams at converting layups. Bonzi, Rafer and Scola come to mind. I'm not sure how they can miss such easy layups on a consistent basis.

We are also terrible at shooting FTs. Again, Bonzi, TMac, Francis were horrible. Failure to convert on these gimmes (layups and FTs) is going to cost us big time in close games. Come to think of it, it probably already has.

On defense, once it became clear that the refs weren't going to call anything on Yao when he stood with his hands up, the Nets were just no very effective in driving in the lane.

On the whole, it was a great game to witness. It wasn't as good as the 50 point blowout in Philly that my son and I saw last year, but we'll take this.

I'm starting to think that Steve is actually our best passing PG. He's the best at getting Yao the ball and he makes great passes that sets up teammates for an easy bucket. Very impressed but needs to work on his shooting.

When TMac was out and Francis was in, I saw Yao call for the play to go to him twice. Francis got him the ball both times when he was posted up and scored on at least one of the possessions.

Rafer has brought it on himself. It's not like this lack of respect is undeserved or anything.
