Dammit pryuen, do you use some really high resolution photos or something? It is pretty absurd when I'm trying to bold part of a post I'm replying to and I have to wait forever for your damn photos to load. My PC isn't a complete dog, either. You might do us all a favor and limit how many you post right after a game. You'd do me a favor, anyway.
Nothing wrong with that suggestion, but doesn't the NBA have fan forum "spies" who do nothing but look for these dedicated threads that steal their NBA broadcasting rights?
I really cannot force myself to like Adelman. Scola plays better than Wells but got less time. Wells played so terribly but stayed on the court so long. Unfair for other role players.
Let's hope the Chinese dragon and lion dance that New Jersey Nets arranged during the transmission at half time will help to drive away the evil spirits and bad luck for the Houston Rockets such that they can further improve, extend their winning streak, and march into and advance further into the playoff !!
I was at church so I couldn't see the game....obviously we won and hopefully that may start some things.......but I thought Tmac was catching fire during the first half.....what happened in the second half? Oh well atleast he shot a good percentage and had 6 assists, so he didn't force anything.
Not very pleased. Our defense is a constant disappointment. Especially Yao. He let Jason Collins score a whopping 54% above his season average. That is terrible. We may have won, but we were lucky. There is still plenty of work to be done, and if we don't improve quickly, this season is going to be lost. (I'm joking. Please don't demote me to Rookie. Loved the consistent play throughout the game. Loved the fast start. Loved the fact that both of our superstars imposed their will. Loved that Yao had 5 assists. Loved that Boki didn't erupt, sparing us from a half-dozen threads about him by tomorrow morning) I also thought it was worth noting that our bench is starting to show the depth we expected from it before the season, albeit inconsistently. McGrady and Yao carried us today, and had to shoulder most of the load two games ago against the Kings, but by my quick count the bench chipped in 42 against the Grizz and 60 against the Warriors, so we're getting there. And as to Yao's stamina, I think that's a direct relation to getting some possessions in the high post where he's not wrestling with someone for at least 15 seconds each time down the floor. By the way, for those who think it is such a big mistake to take Yao away from the low post sometimes, note that his FG% is just about the same as it was the past two years, and although his scoring is down by a couple of points, his numbers are pretty much the same as two years ago but with better assist totals. And I only expect the numbers to go up as the team as a whole gets more comfortable in the offense. There is nothing illogical about allowing your big man (who has shown the ability to consistently make the open mid range jumper with ease) to shoot an open shot from the elbow instead of making him force it up through a double team from five feet away. And now for the cliches: Marathon, not a sprint. Glass half-full. 48 minutes of quality basketball. Playing well as a team. Beating the team we're supposed to beat. Not a championship contender yet, but getting there.
What I would give for VC to be on a Rockets jersey... -_- It may just be for the nostalgia of seeing those two back together. RJ would be much better, honestly; but imagine if we had VC - the Rockets would be the team with the most tandem pairs: Tracy-Yao, Steve-Yao, Tracy-Vince. Late 90's Raptors + early 2000's Rockets + modern Yao-Tracy Rockets.
On a friday?? Haha anyway, couldnt catch the game either. Although we should beat the Nets, this is good because we need to be able to beat these kind of teams. Sounds like a good team win, where everyone played well.
Bonzi gave us something even if he couldn't get the shot to drop. Think of it this way, when Luther can't hit shots, what the hell else can he do. The answer is nothing. 8 rebounds is big, and 4 steals is monstrous. Offense comes and goes, but you can count on defense and rebounding, especially when it involves creating extra posessions for us with steals and offensive boards.
I hope you are joking but it doesn't appear that way. You sound tremendously selfish and thoughtless. I think most everybody here would prefer that Pruyen continues posting these great pics and for you to have to wait longer to bold comments. Then again, you seem to think it's all about you. Whoever this guy Pruyen is, he consistently posts excellent photos for fans in this forum and should be appreciated for his efforts. Thanks, Pruyen and ignore this clown.
You missed the game and your first question is about a man-crush??? Don't you want to know about the actual game? Or, maybe, that's just what floats your boat?
Yes, he was. It was surprising that he logged that many minutes considering he lost the layup he discovered against the Grizzlies... again. Then you look at the score. It also doesn't hurt Bonzi's confidence to know that Adelman won't yank him at the drop of a hat. I like the coach's decision in this case. Had the game been closer he may have changed his mind, but good call by Adelman. PS: Right now I'm waiting for a photo to load while also waiting on part of a post I bolded that I'm attempting to respond to. Number of photos below my response? 21. 20 from pryuen and one of his being quoted. 10 are of a halftime show. That's groovy and fascinating and all, but is not about the game itself... all on this page, and slowing things down.
