Yaoming should concentrate on shooting and rebounding.Other jobs only makes him more exhausted and turn into a roleplayer. But he is a natural teamplayer .Maybe he will just become a normal hero!

Jeff with his always incisive analysis. Rox won this game handily, we are back at .500. T-Mac is not 100%, didn't have his normal explosiveness. I hope this isn't an injury that lingers.

Conspiracy buffs - no Boki = what, end of bench? Trip to 'IR'? Trade?

I missed the first half, but what a boring second half! Rockets only score 11 points in 3rd quarter but Nets still couldn't come back. Looks like both teams just want the second half to be done so they could get the h*ll out of that miserable place!

Naw, he has to set 5 screens on every offensive trip and then pick up the offensive board. Why do we have our horse 20 feet away from the bucket setting screens if we want him to play the post?

Hmm imo we were up by 20..and in my mind I wasl ike..we don't want to embarrass the Nets..if we really were trying to score..we could go crazy and score..that's my opinion..lol they started making shots..we just had to counter with a few points so they wouldn't come back..

Good winnnnnn it's a win. That's all that matters.

I can't understand why Yao can't dominate Nets' frontcourt
last season Yao had one of the worst night v.s. Nets
    2/9 9pts 6rb
and this season it gets even worse
    3/11 4pts 2rb

Yep, it would be if it were not UTTERLY WRONG

101.1 ppg in the first championship year, 13th in the league out of 27 teams...not great but certainly not horrid either.

Easier to read stats for that year

Jeff must have gotten the "one of the worst offensive rebounding teams" stats mixed up.

    :)

Please, whatever the Rocket organization does, don't bring in Phil Jackson! I'd rather have John Lucas return as coach. I don't hate Phil, I'm just not a big fan of his. He's proud, arrogant, egotistical. I'm not interested in seeing Yao and McGrady restricted to the predictable triangle offense; the strange passing, the cuts. I've seen enough of Phil J. and the triangle offensive - endured nine years of seeing it when he coached Chicago, five years with the Lakers. I'd prefer to see Cynthia Cooper coach.

On the other side of the coin, the Rockets should score 100+ a game, but it's difficult to accomplish it in the half-court sets and a greater focus on defense, rather than a terrific defense-offense combination. But Van Gundy, despite his quirks is a great coach. Hopefully, the Rockets can win a championship with him.

BTW, it's too bad the NBA doesn't allow coaches to be traded. I'd love to have Rudy back!!!!

I blame Steve Francis...it has to be his fault.

    1. I want my team to win.

    2. I'd prefer they do it with style.

#1 comes first, but I do like to see a nice offense...

    Good win. I'm happy.

Hope Yao's allright, looks like he's in so much pain on TV after that dunk.
