To be consistent is too difficult for yao.I hope he can adjust to next game.

Da-Glyde,Thank you for the information on Yao. If his elbow is all right
    I will be relieved.

Being 4th to last in scoring is ugly.

You could tell what kind of game it would be in the first 3 possessions in which Yao was blatantly hacked twice. Zo should have fouled out so much sooner than he did.

Our rebounding is still horrible. Everyone just stands around. It's like they expect Francis to come swoop in for the board if they just box out their man. One Net would crash the boards against 3 Rockets and manage to come up with the rebound, even when Mutombo was in there.

JVG and Yao need to start getting T's. It's only 1 point, and this would have been the perfect game to do it. JVG acts like he is too good to work the officials. Someone should be walking on the court, needing to be restrained. Make Ewing do it. If they hired me to be an assistant coach, I would gladly get technicals all the time. Then, in practice I would let Yao practice dunking over me, while I foul him. I would also tell Mo to play defense.

Stamina=teammates,Yao runs in the court for no clear purpose to and fro. That exhausts him.Only his teammates bad performance makes them give the ball to yao.

has there ever been a game where a 10 to 12 point lead seemed essentially insurmountable? i felt completely confortable the entire 4th quarter with that lead. hell, i finally succumbed to 4 hours of sleep last night and fell asleep for 5 minutes at one point in the 4th. of course when i woke up the lead was exactly where it had been. one of the most boring, easy wins (not that those are bad) i've ever witnessed.

I'm glad we won, but games like this make me glad I didn't waste $180 on League Pass. I'll stick to the nationally televised games until January, then re-evaluate my need for Rockets hoops.

You are so cool, man. A T will be $500. And also be careful when you defending Yao, he might lay his body on you. that hurts, believe me. ;)

I like JVG a lot - his dry sense of humor, understanding of the game, the things he preaches for....he just needs to learn how to lead.

His style might get good results in the short term
I am not sure it can sustain for the champinship run - 3-4 years

    The players are not robots
getting a ring is a goal for all, but not the only for many

some degree of fun and hard work
a little bit encouragement once in a while
some sympathy from time to time...

will go a long way for most people, even more so for the players.

Does he think fun is at the cost of hard work? or
sympathy will give more excuses to some players?

or does he think everybody should be as mature as him?

if not, the negatives will get them there?

    or ?

Me too. And this is reason why Toyota Center is not filled up. Rox just ain't scoring enough points.

I hope Leslie Alexander understands that to bring in $$$ at the new and large Toyota Center, he really needs to bring in Phil Jackson. We have T-Mac and Yao. We should be scoring over 100 points a night! :D

No kidding. I feel like watching a college game the way 10-13 point leads looks so huge.

I'm actually a bit grateful for Yao's troubles today. After carrying the load so much the past two games, it's about time he gets a little rest. It was nice that NJ's offense was so pathetic we could try to integrate T-Mac into the fold without worrying much about the scoreboard.

if facing a stronger opponent, rockets must depend firmly on yao and tmac..Even though yaoming is in trouble, but Kidd is not there.we won by a fluck.

you can't expect Yao or T-Mac to play like that every game...we were favored to win this game and we did, I wouldn't call it a 'fluck'

You guys aren't happy with anything. The Rockets were one of the lower scoring teams in the league for their first championship.

A win is a win is a win. Who gives a crap how they did it?

A comfortable win at that. It's been a while since the Rox have gotten up big in the first half and pretty much coasted to the victory.
