I totally agree. I want him to force the refs to foul him out. Eventually the league will cater to one of their money makers. Heck, when the defenders do that illegal "two-hands-to-the-back" pushing on the block I want Yao to throw the elbows. Knock his f^&*ing head off.
Agreed. These guys gave a lot of cred to the rockets and really talked like real professionals. I liked how they called out the right calls, even it was on the nets.
It's pretty amazing that there are actually some real professionals left, isn't it? Unfortunately, most of the broadcasters are pure homers, like those from Memphis, Boston, etc.
I agree that some of Yao's offensive fouls and the fouls on Yao that did not get called are out-of-hand. I don't buy into the arguments that they will all even out at the end. They didn't even out last season. I say, Yao, go ahead and do what Shaq did. There were games that O' neal got so p.. at the refs, he kept yelling to them, "foul me out, foul me out ..." Those refs were scared stiffed and dared not call the 6th foul on him. I say in games that have been decided and if Yao gets several bad calls, force the refs to make a couple more and foul him out. I bet after 2, 3 times, the league will review the tapes. It's their rice bowl, they will protect it.
i believe ya'll arent giving yao enough credit for what he has done so far in his nba career considering all that he has been through..... 1) after his first season, the coach that drafted him was diagnosed with cancer and eventually superceeded by van gundy... 2) after his second season, the only team he has known was totally dismantled,.... for the better(in the long run). it will take yao/tmac a while to mesh, it wont happen over night.... i mean, for Christ's sake, we are only 8 games into the season, and ya'll act as if the whole yao/mcgrady project is a complete failure. the way i see it, our team is no where complete, we have many issues to address and it will take a few years to do so. but fortunately, yao just turned 24 and tmac just turned 25 so the rockets can afford to be patient and find the right players that will fit under van gundy's system. another thing, i truely believe that the rockets will be at least 30% better once bob sura returns from his back problems... it is evident that he can play with a new team with relative ease based on his stats from atlanta.... sura will make our team bigger,... way better at rebounding,.... and he will give us a better assist/turnover ratio. but all in all, we need to be patient with yao, and i think van gundy needs to think about his statements before he totally bashes his franchise player. because we do not want to see yao running off to the lakers to play for rudy t because rudy t wont humiliate him after every mediocre game.... although i dont see how any big man would want to play with kobe.... after what he did to the most dominate center of all time.... yao does need to be more aggressive in the paint... heck, if someone locks arms with him in the paint and the refs are calling it (like they normally dont), yao should throw his a** to the floor.... pick up the technical.... intimidate people.... because its not like yao is some little chump.... i am probably the only person that has said this, but i think the rockets have gotten off to a good start... we may be 4-4, but at least we dont have stevie franchise turning the ball over 4.0+ times a game and missing lay ups i made in the 8th grade.... and our assist total is WAY up.... give them time people.... but this website kicks a** and i really appreciate those who post the espn insider articles.... us poor college folk cant afford that luxury.... peace out
