And it wasn't even like he was working hard, he made it look easy

Only so many minutes to go around, someone has to sit.

He'll play in the back to backs when Yao sits out. JHill should continue to work on his game. His defense is not up to par and he should up his defensive rebounds.

battier's dunk is the culminating point of this game.

Miller looks so much better in this offense then he did in Chicago,we're lucky to have him. His defense was pretty good too, surprisingly!

Lowry was terrific tonight. KMart bailed us out with some 3-pt shooting. Yao and Miller were very good even if they were quite slow. I was pleasantly surprised by Miller's defense

Yeah he's looked real shaky on the defensive end lately.

I didn't watch the game, but from the highlights it looks like Battier's been working on his offensive game once again. Could someone who saw the game comment on this? Is he rather than Chuck Hayes the one we should be thinking about when we think of someone looking to revitalize their offense?

I was a hater but Hill is improving. Bulked up, developed a jump hook, he has the physical tools so he may be a player in this league yet.

Battier's offense looks better than I remember it, but he's always going to be the 5th, possibly 4th option on offense with the exception of the corner 3. It's always an advantage for any player to get better in any facet, but it's not going to make a huge impact on the team's performance.

I was surprised how good Miller's overall game, especially his D, looked. Maybe I shouldn't have been. Liked Worrell's "We've already seen it in slow motion" quip. Miller's good. Yao's getting better. Team showed some flashes of defensve intensity. Heck, we're deep enough-- I'd be shocked if the D doesn't improve 5 ppg+ this year.

It's the best he's looked all pre-season. I might even go out on a limb and say he probably won't look much better all season. But that's okay, on a starting 5 with Scola, Brooks, Yao and Martin, someone has to be the 5th option. How many teams have a 5th option as good as Battier.

P.S. I still would take iguodala if a decent trade that doesn't cost us any starters besides Battier.

As much as Hayes's offense has picked up. Jeffries and Miller seem to fit with the team that much better.

Well now they have 4-5 days before the next game. Hopefully they will get in some more practice time, seeing as Adelman was concerned about that.

Yeah, he's been kind of underrated for that, especially in all the "career decline" talk since we signed him. In the Dampier thread, I compared their defensive stats, and there's just not that much difference (aside from defensive rebound percentage.) Glad to hear people warming to Miller -- that was a great signing, and he especially loves Adelman's schemes.

Especially if we play that same line-up of Lowry, Lee, Battier, JJ, and Miller in the 4th--we'll be getting defensive stop after defensive stop. Adelman can use AB and KMart to build up a lead then put in the defensive unit to secure the win just like tonight.

LOL @ JJ--he went back to his normal self on offense. Hope he has some good offensive games left in him to keep the opponents guessing.

I think Adelman was just trying to bring Miller up to speed, since he was out for so long. There just wasn't much time left for Hill, after Miller's 26 min.
