I was referring to what Covington did. 99 times out of 100, that doesn't work. So yes, luck.

Funny how you mention luck. I guess trey Burke going for 30 doesn’t involve some of it either huh. You know what’s also lucky, that the refs didn’t give harden the and 1 continuation that he should have received when he hit the bank shot. Or the 3 free throws on the foul out of bounds. The rockets being pure luck is nonsense

Anyone talking about how the rockets were lucky to win should also realize how unreasonably hot the mavs were in the first half

if we were still down 3 possessions it would not have mattered, which is my point. Mavs chose to foul and take that risk instead of just playing defense and ending the game with a stop.

And Russ missed some gimmes at the basket that he normally hits or the percentage would be higher. I was surprised at Westbrook's stats after the game. Somehow, he seemed to "quietly" have a really good performance. At least it seemed that way to me. There were times during the game that he drove me crazy with his shot selection, but Russ was definitely one of the keys to the game. What a backcourt!

Harden made some incredible moves to get to the bucket. A couple were simply amazing. We've seen him do that so many times that it would be easy to take those plays for granted. Glad an NBA starved ESPN audience could see just how good James is. What he does is too often taken for granted, by the "talking heads" of the media and by some around here. All I can say is that whatever was bothering Harden before the shutdown is behind him. Just beautiful to see.

I'm still on a high from this win! I'll be watching this one again. It's parked on my DVR.

Some great reads, @J.R., and much appreciated.

Not enough attention being given by those 2 blown calls.

Refs tried to help Mavs at crucial times.

They sure did. The number of calls overall was about even, but the impact of those calls were not close to being the same, in my opinion, and favored the Mavs.

Harden paired with both BMac and House when Russ off the court.

That is friggin crazy. I‘ve posted this before but with this team you can’t say “I’m out” “good night” or any of that nonsense. Talk about not giving in. As bad as it can be sometimes they’re capable.

Do Mavs still lead NBA in offense?

NBA needs to make the arenas a bit more lit so we can see the bench more clearly. Too dark

sick game tho. Glad the rockets got the W.

On a more serious note, an awesome comment from Doc Rivers:
