    Am I excited about next season...? Abso-frickin-lutely!!! ;) ;)

Am I ready for it to begin? Absolutely NOT!!!

I've GOT to vent first, so here goes:

Our role players played like absolute PUNKS from the opening tip!!!

No energy, no desire, no commitment AT ALL!!! I salute Mike James for at least ACTING LIKE HE CARED!!

For Pagett, Barry, Bowen, Wesley, and Sura - they deserved this game!! Yao and T-Mac did not. There's only so much our two stars can do.

I also hold JVG resonsible for not starting Mike James when it's been clear since game 4 that Sura couldn't come close to guarding anyone on the Mavs. And JVG, whom I was willing to give the benefit of the doubt after winning games 1 and 2 in Dallas is back in doubt in my opinion!!!

The NBA will have three times as many teams playing Dallas/Phoenix style ball next season, and unless we find at least three more players who can shoot and defend against faster players we will continue to be exposed as the slowest team in the league!!!

If the Astro's had a prayer in hell of making the playoffs, the off-season might not suck quite so bad, but the Stro's just got swept by Atlanta and will be 20 games back before July 4th.

October can't get here soon enough - but only if JVG and management will go and do something about this piece of crap they called Game 7!!!

McGrady postgame - "I will be back next year. I will never fold. We will be back better and stronger."

EDIT: Did he just say "Sh*t, I might go fishin'"?

This isn't the most painful exit by any means.

These guys are so young, the core at least. It's not like and aging Hakeem and Clyde or Barkley.

Remember folks, it's just the start of an era, not the end.

    Don't despair...

My wife told me this afternoon that, gee, no offense intended, but she hoped the Rockets would lose so I'd stop staying up late and watching the games and spending so much time at this site.

Evidently my wife has some serious upstairs connections.

I was thinking the same thing, where was Deke? My only guess is that we were focusing on offense since we got down by so much, so quickly.

This game was horrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrible. I never expected us to come out that flat... period.

We need to keep Deke, and Barry. The rest are tradeable.

The one thing I think we can all take from this series is, we are going to do better...

    MUCH BETTER

CLUTCH CITY III WILL BE HERE SOON!

Mutombo played in the second quarter and it's not like he could shut down the Mavs or score.

Here is a link to a Chinese fan basketball BBS, you do not have to know the language just see the red numbers on the right down corner that means how many posts in this thread. All those posts are the heatbreak feelings of those fans. T-Mac said we will back, I believe that we will back we will be stronger. With millions fans support there is no reason that the team wont be successful.

    We lost game 7 because...

    We were too slow:

    Our offense executed too slow.
We were too slow getting back on defense.
Our defense was too slow getting to cover the open man.
Slow to get on the guy who's driving in for a rebound.
We just looked old, tired, and slow (because we are).

    We lost the series because:

.. of the game 4 loss at home. Pivotal loss for us.
We didn't have Juwan Howard, and Bob Sura is ill and needs another surgery
A full-court press always hurts us. ALWAYS.
We stopped only one of their players (Dirk).
The referees took at least one, maybe two games away from us.

    I don't understand...

Why we abandoned the T-Mac/Yao pick-and-roll when it looked like we had it going well.
Why we don't play better against the full-court-press.
Why we don't we don't attack an opposing player who has 4 or 5 fouls on him.
Why we NEVER full-court-press the other team.

Thank you. I could really use a new conspiracy theory right now as a distraction.

Armstrong's three with a few seconds left was totally classless. I thought Avery left the starters in way too long which was also bush league. I really have develped a serious dislike for the entire Dallas organization. They had so much more talent overall, but the Rockets played with determination and scared them for six games. The Rocket's role players played over their heads for most of the season; tonight they were exposed.

I am going on vacation. Thanks guys for all the fun. Thanks ClutchFans for a great job. Most of all, thanks Rockets for the most exciting and entertaining season in years. And TMac, you were a joy to watch. Ming, I love you, but you were painful to watch. For next season, think consistency. A good game now and then is not going to cut it.

Rocket's management, more athleticism, please. We need a PF who can run fast, rebound, and shoot well. We need a PG who can make an entry pass to the post and drain threes. Keep James, Mutombo, and Barry. If Sura can get healthy, keep him too. And to all a good night. :)

    How?

When is he a free-agent. We have to get that guy. That would be a quick way to make Jason Terry and the rest of the mavs to shut-up

    Just to be positive..........

anyone that thinks Yao has bad hands should replay this game and watch the bullet feeds he was catching from Jon Barry. It took them all season and 7 games into the post season to finally start throwing the ball to Yao with some giddyup and he caught it and threw it down.
