If nothing else, we destroyed Dirk's confidence. It was nice to see him break out his fake cough for the postgame interviews. Guess that pesky cold has been hanging around for what? about two weeks?

As much as I thought our role players were garbage this game, I am very proud of them (and T-Mac) for crying instead of laughing and joking like the Grizzlies did last year.

    We'll be back.

Are we looking at different playoff series? To me, Yao had great games in game 2, game 5 and game 7. Yao had one real terrible game in game 6, got screwed in the other 3 games but still was a factor when he was on the floor.
3 great games, 3 ok games and 1 terrible game, I can live with that.
Remind you Will, we won't be able to win this game even if Yao made all his shots and score 54 points. Don't just pick the easy target because you expected Yao being Hakeem already.

Just let all you guys know, in a famous chinese basketball BBS, A Rockets vs Dalls Game seven thread ( just same as this thread) has got more than 1200 posts and all those Chinese posters tried use all the method to encourage the Houston team. Now the team became all Chinese basketball fans hometeam. The fans even dont care Yao's peformance too much. They just want the team win. What a heartbreak lose for all Rockets fans in the world.

I got flamed when I said season is over in the chat room.

Now the season is over. Great season though. 51 wins, forced 7 games against Mavs.

I guess you have to learn how to accept losing before you can really start to win.

We need add strength on 4 and 1 in this off season, period. We will come back next season. Book it.

Mike james is the perfect exmaple of what a veteran with recent championship experiece can do,

He was the one that went off in game 6 and lit a fire in T-mac and then the rest of the team to win that game and saved us from elimination in game 6.

The rest of the Veterans don't have the "winning" experience to set examples for the younger core to show what it takes to win a game 7.

Keep james as backup PG, the rest need to be serious reevlauated and a starting PG that can perform low post passing with ease and set up the rest is priority so unfortuanley that leaves Sura out and Barry and wesley gone. Padge as well.

Patch work jobs don't work in the post season evident by tonight a game 7 and we get blown out in the 1st. Totally unacceptable.

Actually I think they'll beat the Suns, they play better D than the Suns and have a deeper team...but the Spurs will whoop em. :)

I like to look at it as Dallas has been good for 5+ years, we have only just started to become a GREAT team.. Mavs out played us, but will next year be the same?? I really feel next year we will be a top 5 team in the NBA with a few small moves...

OUR FUTURE'S SO BRIGHT, WE GOTTA WEAR SHADES!!

The team is too old. They can't keep up the pace in game 7. It's so obvious. But I am still happy about the season. Get some young outside players next year and we'll be in the WCF.

I feel like throwing up. I had butterflies in my stomach before the game and now it feels like the butterflies are trying to come out.

Why are people hating on Yao tonight?

He was the only good player tonight.

TMac did what I hoped he wouldn't. Shot way too much. Way way too much. 26 shots through 3 quarters. Give me a break. He was okay, but when he shoots that much you might as well count it as a loss.

The rest of the team sucked.

Give Yao some credit for showing up and scoring 33 and 10 and 5.

Hey we finally went to him in the 4th.

Did it really begin? All of the three you mentioned are the only ones Rockets should keep. We lost because of role players.

No one will say anything about that. Why would you hate on someone's pain? Totally classless. If anyone does, they aren't even worth responding to.

If nothing else, at least this series gave us hope for a bright future with 2 playoff go-to players in Yao & TMac, while at the same time exposing Dirk for the p***y that he is. I got no complaints.

hopefully next year McGrady and Yao have a better supporting cast....

McGrady on Dirk drained everything out of him....its silly.... J.Howard i don't think would have made such a big difference....Dirk would have taken him to school....

we have an old team...so i'm not as excited about next year as most of you guys...i think it will take atleast another 2 seasons till the right parts are in place....

Agreed. James is a keeper. He's just what we need off the bench. I can't believe anyone would want to get rid of the guy. :(

Whoops... I still want people's thoughts on this...

And to add to it since I realzied I didn't connect my thoughts very well.... what I meant to get at was, wouldn't Mutumbo have been able to slow down that penetration the way he was such a complete monster inside defensively last night?

Touch loss to swallow after a emotional roller coster. We failed the big test, and better team won the series, nothing to compalin about this loss except on our part. Get better next year. With expiring contracts, and maturing of Yao-Mac combo, next year should be better than this year.
