Something is wrong when I have more confidence with Yao going up against Erick Dampier than I do Allen Henderson.
This is one of Yaos biggest flaws he cant get position against smaller/quicker players. Its pretty frustrating to watch.

why not just use the possesion arrow like in the NCAA? no more human error on the throws, which by the way the refs don't practice.

Or, just go to a posession arrow....

Hell... just go with college refs period. All teams will shut up and play ball... there won't be superstar treatment on either side... and guys will actually have to play BASKETBALL to win (that's getting the round ball to fall thru the metal hoop... )

I have to admit Yao is painful to watch. He should be more assertive toward his moves. He looked lethargic and tentative.

The Rockets are making ALL the little mistakes that lose ballgames. Third game in a row this has happened. It is really uncanny, it is almost like a "luck" thing. The ball is not bouncing their way. And Dallas is getting anything they want. They seem to have all the loose balls, all the open shots, all the critical timing plays. I think I have hurt my neck from shaking my head the last three games.

Does Ming look like he is in full "I'm barely here" mode to you, or is it just me. Certainly not a strong performance. We are about to find out if the Rockets have any heart left. They look "spent" to me. I predict a second half that is either an amazing turnaround by the Rockets or a blow out by Dallas. This game is not what I expected.

posession arrow is the way to go.

the refs should also be governed by an outside party. not the nba. and why not get 4 refs? one for each corner. don't tell me they can't afford it.

I have never bought into the "Yao gets targetted by officials" theory, before tonights game. Yaos first foul was a moving screen. He was moving, but the refs aren't making that call on everyone else, Rox or Mavs. His second foul was garbage, as the Rockets got hit on their previous 2 drives, and didn't get the call. His 3rd foul was legit, a bad play by Yao.

On offense, there is no way they allow that much contact with our guys guarding Dirk. Alan Henderson is riding him off the block with his thigh, and has 2 hands on him, trying to push him around.

Ummm, if you are talking about the last foul on Yao, where he was just standing still and Howard bounced off of him, then you are pretty much r****ded. Don't take out your frustration over the poor officiating on a guy standing still.

Yao isn't able to play because he is so scared of fouling. I can't hardly blame him. Yao jogs down the court - foul. Yao stands still under the basket - foul. Yao tries to hold onto the rebound he just grabbed while little midgets climb up him to get the ball - foul.

But I think JVG should just play him until he fouls out, let him try to play his game without fear, and just let him foul out in the first half of every game. He needs to start really hurting people, like Shaq, so that people will not be so confident that their flop won't really hurt. People will start trying to protect themselves instead of strategizing how best to act out the flop. Then maybe next year they might start to let him play and not buy all of the bull**** Dallas floppers.

Honestly... we just need to go with Tracy and Yao pick and roll for every play in the 2nd half. They've yet to figure out how to defend that play, w/out calling the moving pick.

Our defense on the other end isn't bad when we're not turning the ball over. There are no Jason Terry freestrokin exhibitions, and nobody is really getting in a rhythym for them.

As Solid said... the ball is just bouncing their way right now. We can't lose our composure... just play thru it, and try to play with some semblance of confidence.
