What a terrible, terrible effort on defense for the 2nd straight game. After the 1st quarter we just mailed it in. I'm in shock with the lack of effort.

Dwight simply did not come to play tonight. 2-12 from the line? Just wasn't focused. Not getting any rebounds either. Just terrible effort from him today.

Yea we shot terribly, but had we played with any effort and intensity defensively we would have won tonight.

J.J. Barea giving us 17pts/13ast is just a joke man. Terry/Prigioni are gonna kill us defensively. God knows what Chris Paul/Tony Parker are gonna do to that combo. Desperately missing Beverley.

I'm going to keep posting this until some of you get the point:

Last year, the Spurs were taken to 7 games in the first round by the Mavericks.

The Heat did not sweep their first round matchup in 2012 against the Knicks.

The Mavericks didn't in 2011 against Portland

The Lakers didn't sweep their first round in either 2009 or 2010

The Celtics almost got knocked out of the first round in 2008 (Hawks took them to 7)

The Heat didn't sweep their first-round matchup in 2006

    Detroit didn't in 2004.

San Antonio has never swept any of their first round matchups in 2003, 2005, and 2007.

Those teams all went on to win championships in those years. The only championship team since 2003 (the first year that they switched to a 7-game format) that swept their first-round matchup was the Heat in 2013.

Of course the problem is us giving up 120. But he didn't do anything to help the problem. He was passive. You saw it in his body language after every missed shot or whenever the Mavs hit a shot.

That's the thing. He really didn't do much after having a great first quarter. The Mavs cannot guard him but he let them hold him by free flowing around on offense and settling for threes. In that second quarter, the Rockets had the Mavs in the penalty early. The second Harden checked in, he should have attack that paint every trip down. That trend continued the rest of the game.

It got so bad that Smith and Brewer were almost ignoring Harden when he called to bring the ball up and instead pushed the ball up themselves. Smith and Brewer were both playing with a sense of urgency in that 4th and couldn't wait for James to slowly bring up the ball.

Harden is not playing much D either, he continually leaves his man wide open at the 3pt line.

The mavs score big on everyone, they were third for scoring in the regular season. It really isn't a big surprise

Let's all remain calm...up 3-1 and heading back to home court....it's no time to panic....

I felt the crowd really gave the Mav's a lift in this game and dejected our players and got to there heads....

Just have to make sure we come out swinging on game 5 and play like it is a game 7.

Mav's are full of confidence now and will be a different team to the 1st 2 games....we can't let them sniff that a historic comeback is possible

Went missing. Someone send out an amber alert!

But really, why will(or won't) the defense be better in game 5? These last two games...

Barea made some really tough shoots tonight, but the most ridiculous thing is he was able to draw Dwight on him at least 3-4 times on rotation.

That tells you how bad the Rox PG was playing the whole game.

And don't forget Dirk, the Mavs had a lots of P&R got either Prig or Harden/Brewer switched on Dirk.

The whole defense is just a mess.
