tru.. just like amare, yao was in foul trouble and doubled too.. t-mac and others got theirs because dallas was worried about Yao early in the game.. this time, dallas will worry about t-mac and yao & others should exploit that..

I'm currently registered as a member at www.dallas-mavs.com. Including me, I think there are now like 5-6 Clutch City members registered there now. Harrisment is the only one I know, besides me, that has kept his Clutch City handle on that site.

This is the first post in this thread, at about #40, that suggested we'd lose this game. Honestly, I think we will lose.

Refs will definately decide this game...

Unless Yao breaks out and doesn't stay in foul trouble.

Otherwise I see alot of the same as game one- Lots of free throws from the Mavs...

Except that the difference is if the free throws keep them going. If Dirk gets more aggressive I expect the refs to give him everything. He will either make shots or get to the line.

    Dirk will get 40+

The key can we stop everyone else???????

    Rockets 110
    Mavs 108

Thank you for the miracle win tonight!

Early in the Game, the Mavs were doubling down to Yao Ming which actually opened the floor up for shooters in the early going.

I think their focus was to deny Yao Ming and let McGrady shoot from outside until he began to kill them.

I think they are going to shift the focus to McGrady so now its Yao that may not get doubled as much in Game 2. If this is the case then he MUST take advantage of it. They began to double T-mac late which opened the floor up and Yao got a basked late b/c of it and Barry hit a nice three along w/ Mike James own creations.

I really think we should begin the game by forcing it to Yao across the lane and have the defense try to clamp down on Yao and give some space to our perimeter guys and T-mac. If Yao doesn't impose his will they will hound T-mac and force the ball out of his hands.

I think Yao will step it up and give a 28pt 14 reb game with Dallas focusing on T-mac. What he HAS to do is keep the damn ball high so Howard/Finley/Terry etc can't swipe the ball from him.

I really think that Dallas' team defense is improved, but their individual players are not that strong defensively.

If Yao does not take Dampier's comments personally and abuse him then he just doesn't have the fire and I don't think will ever be anything more than a good/almost great nba player.

After reading post game material it is clear that this team will get no respect until they win this series. It is amazing how many are writing the first win off as a fluke. And virtually no one gave the Rockets credit for playing well, it was all, the Mavs had a bad game, Dirk was off, blah, blah, blah. You would hardly know that the Rockets even played. When did the Mavs become the darling of the media?

My guts says.. Well my gut don’t say anything. My heart says.. that’s not talking to me either lately we're on bad terms right now. My head says.. well my head says lots of things but im going to go with the one line of thinking that is most prevalent and feels like it has the most substance with it: Rockets win.. Rockets win.. Rockets win!

    Rockets 113 Mavs 107

Continuing my superstitious prediction: Rox loss by 5 to the madcow.

(FYI, my last 11 game predictions including game 1 of the playoff were all turned out to be the opposite, so I will keep it going)

Yao will need to step up this game with Tracy facing double and triple teams. I think he will.

    We win 97-94

Call me crazy, bring out the broom.

We're gonna sweep them because the Rockets are much much better than the Mavs.

The only reason Dallas was still in the game in the 4th quarter is that refs screwed us and gave them a lot of free throws out of phantom foul calls and Mavericks' flops.

I perdicted the Rox would win by 12-15 in the game 1 thread. I also perdiced they would lose game 2 in that same thread so I am going to stick with it. We accomplished what we needed to in Dallas but I hope we can win this one as well cause it would make it more comfortable at home. My heart says Rockets by 7 in OT, but my mind says Dallas wins by 7 or so in OT.
