The team just played with absolute poise and confidence once they got down last night. I loved it. They didn't panic(which sometimes works, and sometimes doesn't). They just kept playing their game.

I hope that the Rockets don't get over-confident, and keep playing with that same poise at home. I also hope that the Mavs have had any confidence they once held shattered, and that they suffer a collapse.

In 2005, the Rockets have played the Mavs 4 times.....

    4-0 so far, let's get to 6-0.

    :)

I didn't see that but I did see where the Mavs got 2 on a Dampier tip in that was obviously offensive goal tending. The ball was laying on the rim and he reached up and tipped it in. Sura threw his hands up because he knew it too.
I didn't see the first half so I am not real sure what the Mav fans are copmplaining about. I did see the second half and I thought the officiating was terrible for both sides.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned one of my favorite moments of the game. I think it happened in the 3rd quarter when Dirk had the ball under his basket and McGrady slapped at it and in the process caught Dirk in the face, or eye. It showed McGrady going back to the other end of the court with a big smile on his face, then he looked over and made a motion with his arm, like he was saying "YES!!!!" Ahh, I had to watch that about 3 times before I could continue with the game.

I was going to say something else but I'm so excited I seem to have forgot!

    look at ESPNs front page

Home-court advantage? Not for the Mavs. The Rockets won a thriller Monday to take a 2-0 series lead as T-Mac continues to prove ESPN Insider Chad Ford wrong.

My Post Yesterday Afternoon!!! I was RIGHT ON Baby!

    "04-25-2005 01:49 PM

Early in the Game, the Mavs were doubling down to Yao Ming which actually opened the floor up for shooters in the early going.

I think their focus was to deny Yao Ming and let McGrady shoot from outside until he began to kill them.

I think they are going to shift the focus to McGrady so now its Yao that may not get doubled as much in Game 2. If this is the case then he MUST take advantage of it. They began to double T-mac late which opened the floor up and Yao got a basked late b/c of it and Barry hit a nice three along w/ Mike James own creations.

I really think we should begin the game by forcing it to Yao across the lane and have the defense try to clamp down on Yao and give some space to our perimeter guys and T-mac. If Yao doesn't impose his will they will hound T-mac and force the ball out of his hands.

I think Yao will step it up and give a 28pt 14 reb game with Dallas focusing on T-mac. What he HAS to do is keep the damn ball high so Howard/Finley/Terry etc can't swipe the ball from him.

I really think that Dallas' team defense is improved, but their individual players are not that strong defensively.

If Yao does not take Dampier's comments personally and abuse him then he just doesn't have the fire and I don't think will ever be anything more than a good/almost great nba player. "

Well that seemed to be that plan. We gave it to Yao early as their defense tried to clamp down more on McGrady. Yao had more space as I predicted and DESTROYED Them early. They then began to key in on Yao and that opened it up for shooters off of the penetration like Barry/Sura. It also opened the floor for McGrady as they tried to help on Yao.

13-14 from the Floor! 14 Shots for 33 points!?!?! He proved that last sentence of mine and showed his heart!! The only reason Dampier got 14 points was that they were ALL open dunks because Yao was coming out on the screens. They were uncontested. Compare that to Yao: He hit a few dunks but a majority were jump hooks, or fadeaway jumpshots. He was also perfect from the line. I think the dragon has AWOKEN!
