    Miscellaneous Facts

"Yao Ming scored a playoff carrer-high 33 points on 13-14 shooting. His 92.9% FG% ties for the 13th highest FG% in playoff history. Ironically, he's tied for 13th with teammate Dikembe Mutombo who shot 13-14 for Atlanta vs. Detroit on 5/10/99. "

Why is this not an 18 page thread already? I think it deserves more with the way your Rockets are playing!;)

Oh man, this is far worse than the FIRE GUNDY! thread. They are eating their own with a self-destructive gusto over there that is a bit nauseating. Dirk and Avery are taking it hard, and the general consensus is Rockets in 5.

Fairweather nancies. These Mavs fans don't know the heartache of 'almost' and 'might have been', and the ultimate joy of unlikely triumph over all odds.

Losers. Non-team-supporting losers. They don't deserve a win this series.

Tonite was so unbelievable. Not even the win itself. Just what this game meant for the franchise. The fact that Yao Ming had freaking 30+ points and completely dominated in a playoff game. And that Tracy McGrady is an absolute assasin in the clutch. It's not even about this game or this year. It's the fact that this is possible. That we can all take back what we said about Yao. That they are THIS good in YEAR 1! These guys are contending for a championship in YEAR 1 of the marriage! This game is what we envisioned when we made the trade.

That's reposting the link that Mr. Mooch gave us. Hopefully I did it right.

Thanks a lot for that, Mooch. Good stuff! Gene is timeless.

Harrisment, if you happen to read this, GREAT JOB! I was lookin' over the game thread at mav-talk and your signature is awesome. Those are two great bolded quotes for all them to see.:D The attitude there was down right pitiful, those might just push them over the edge, ha.

The funniest part about that mavs fan thread was when they guy said that we are not even a good team, and they, the mighty defensive Mavs, cannot let a crappy offensive team like us score 113 points. Christ buddy, just give credit to the better team, and enjoy the summer.

I gotta check to see if anyone saw what i did, or if I'm just completely blinded by my love for the rockets. Did the refs give Terry 3 points on an obvious 2-point shot? I think it was the 58th or 59th point for the mavs. It seemed so obvious, and I don't think they corrected it. I know it's not a big deal now, but I'm kind of keeping a mental record of all these bogus 3's/non-3's.

I saw that too. I hope the referees will be that generous to Rockets at Rockets' home court.

My prediction is not so bad. :D

Game 3 is going to be ugly. There is nothing more dangerous than a wounded and cornered beast. If Rockets win in game 3, I predict they will have a significant rebound advantage, like Dallas had this game.

Dirk can't dribble the ball to save his life. 2 dribbles leads to 2 Rockets points.

The fact of the matter is that Dirk could have the Mavs up 2-0. Finley couldn't. He ain't good enough.

The Mavs could go to Houston and win 2 in a row. Sure. Why not? Do I think it will happen? No. Why not? Because Jeff Van Gundy is coaching his team better than Avery Johnson is.

The Rockets are basically playing 4 on 5. Bowen doesn't even count. Yet we still let them score over 100 points. Something doesn't add up.

We suck right now. Losing 4 in a row is more likely than winning 2 in a row at this point.

Houston is not a good team. We sure do make them look good though. I mean really....anytime you can make a crappy offensive team like the Rockets look good then your defense is horrendous. The end.

^^^ These are the dallas fans that talk from their ass. Rockets are very good offensive team as of right now. We started slow at the begining of the season but we are a good offensive team now. Dallas isn't making us look good, we are making dallas look crappy.
