ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Mavericks 4/23/2005 (Playoffs Round 1, Game 1)

Is it just me, or was this a horribly officiated game? I'm so excited about the win, and yet it still bugs me how hard it is to play 5-on-8 and win.

 

The refs totally stunk it up in this game. The offensive foul at the end of the game on Wesley was ridiculous as were many others throughout the game. I hope they do a better job calling a more fair game on Monday because the Rockets can’t win again if they have to play 5 on 8.

 

I agree that JVG will dominate AJ. That goes without saying and is probably the difference maker. In fact, the only coaches out there that can coach and strategize on his level is Larry B and brother Stan. Karl is good too but he won't get past SA this year.

T-mac had a great game, and while he might play even better, it's hard to imagine. I mean, 40-point games aren't that common for anyone. Dirk will play better, so I think game 2 lies with how physical Yao plays. If Yao plays better, there will be big trouble in D.

 

Word. I also have a hunch that Sura will get his number called a few times more in Monday's game. He was carving up Dallas' interior defense on drives in the first half today. Terry cannot hold him.

 

the 2nd game will be a very good indication on how far the rcokets can go. can they turn the screw or will they fade away? this is how important the next game is.

 

Dallas took that from the Lakers playbook - the "octagonal" (courtesy, i think, Behad. what happened to him?) offence!

 

Behad is still around...just isnt as active as he used to be.

Judging by the size of it, its probably the highlights. R2K said he'll do the game once this one is seeded well.

yea..it is the highlights...I dont have the processing power to have the full game done already.
I frankly dont have a clue how someone could have it out already. It takes me 2 hours to edit and prepare it for encoding, which takes a additional 6 hours.
If I hadnt taken the extra time to compile highlights...it would be in the middle of encoding right now.

but oh well...I dont download other releases...but the one I have heard about are normally rel media files..which dont have the quality and completeness mine do..

btw...easy way to tell whcih file it is...is look at the name...it says "clips" in the name...I label the full game as such, and create a new thread for it when I post it.

 

Excellent job R2K. I don't live in Texas so I watched the game on ESPN. It was nice to see the FSN telecast. Is Bullard doing the rest of the games or is Van coming back? Here are the highlights
