Get off Yao's back. It's not Yao's fault that stupid refs didnt' give him the benefit of doubt. Because of those first two fouls, Yao never got into the rhythm.

haha, could you guys believe this from a Mave's fan?

"Little Joey Crawford just took away a Terry three-pointer from us.

God, seemingly everything has gone wrong in this game.

And I hope the NBA puts ******* Joey Crawford on another series for the next game. I can't stand the guy.
    "

I thought that Crawford just wanted to give Terry a FT. If he had known Terry would hit that three-pointer, I bet Craw****ingford would never have made that call...:D :D :D

Can't wait for the headlines in Dallas tomorrow morning. I have a feeling the Cowboys draft will move this embarassing Game 1 loss to the back page. :)

What's going to be more funny, how the dumbass anaylsts are going to spin this embarassment, or the first time you hear "the Mavs backs are against the wall."

One thing I noticed today is how much the Mavbricks fan SUCK! I saw them walking out with over 3 minutes left when they couldn't have been down by more then 12. That is pathetic. I would never walk out on my team in the playoffs. Idiots.

I love you, T-Mac, you unstoppable stud.
Deke and James were critical today. T-Mac carried the team on his back, but we wouldn't have won without those two.

Agreed. I was a little shocked by his final stat line. During the game, I wasn't exactly looking at it objectively, but he contributed. Hopefully, the refs will let the best team win this series. Many time, it takes Yao a while to get a flow going.... and if the refs won't let him it is going to be tough to watch.

WOW! JVG just called out the refs at the podium in the post-game conf.

    Gotta love it!!

BTW, after EVERY game, NBA TV will have the entire post-game conf. So switch there immediately after the game

JVG took a nice shot at the refs, I am glad he stood up for his guys

Hats off to Ryan Bowen and the team defense of the Rockets. They did what nobody expected them to do: contain Nowitzki.

The fun thing is that while Avery Johnson is showing Dirk tape of his performance and how to improve, Van Gundy will be doing the same with Yao. This wasn't the best basketball the Rockets are capable of playing and we beat them by 12 in their own house. I'm super excited. :D

Pretty close ;) Great game! I don't think the refs were *quite* as bad as everyone...the Mavs have better athletes that are gonna create more calls. There weren't too many calls that I remember thinking we should have gotten and didn't.

Hell of a game for Bowen. Wish we coulda found a way to get Padgett's shooting out there, but I guess it wasn't really needed. Yao will make it back, definitely..just 1 bad game. He has these periodically.

Just like I chanted at the MCI Center when I was all by myself in screaming, "I LOVE MIKE JAMES!!"

Tracy is simply crazy... he even shut down dirk :) Yao has a sub-par game, but he could not control the refs.. maybe he should invite all nba refs to his restaurant and eat just whatever they want for one month..:)

Hope tracy doesnot get too tired, and next game Yao will not just be abused with ridiculous calls..

    go,go,go, rockets!

Hall of Fame performance for TMac, absolutely Jordanesque. Great game plan, using Bowen as a defensive wildcard worked. Mike James was clutch. Ming answered the question, "will he elevate his game for the playoffs?" No. Ming may be big but, at times, he is very ordinary. Where would this team be without Mutombo. How many foul shots did the Mavs get? My word, the refs tried their best to give the Mavs the game. If I were Dallas, I would be very worried.

Let's recall my prediction, Rockets win first game, Mavs panic and lose the second. Series comes to Houston and the Rockets sweep. That seems unlikely, but it sure sounds good. The "real" good news is the Rockets look very determined, and Ming has to have at least one or two decent performances to give. Surely.

The way the Rockets played today Dallas will be lucky to win ONE game.

(And ESPN's "experts" unanimously pick Dallas by a 4-2 margin. How ya like us now ESPN? Home court, baby! :D )

We showed a lot of toughness against the Mavs. A wonderful win. This should give them greater confidence going into game 2. I fear that Yao might get down on himself but he needs to play smarter so he can avoid getting easy fouls. If he can get going the Mavs are going to be in big trouble.
    GO ROCKETS!
