ESPN stated that Erick Dampier thinks he's the best Center in the Western Conference.

For some reason that drives me crazy:mad:

James and Barry are missing open jumpers and threes.

    Yao has barely played.

    We're up by twelve.

I think this is a very good sign.

We scored 25 points in each quarter. Where is this D that that we keep hearing that Dallas is now playing?

I'd like to take this time to once again thank John Weisbrod. We just can't thank him enough.

I'd pay good money to see him watching these playoff games.

It is a good sign. It proves that we are a team. Say what you want about TMAc (doing great) and Dirk (sucking (so far - We all know that won't last)), in the end it is one team against another.

Really? I couldn;t watch the game so I can't really tell, but he looked ok statistically, 4 offensive boards in 10 minutes of playing time... that's like 1 offensive board per 2.5 min.... I think his main job is to put more effort in the defensive end, pull down more rebounds and block more shots... for now we are in good hands by letting TMac take the shots...

It was there aleady by their standard. Otherwise, we would have scored 35 points each quarter:D

thats kinda what I thought. Atleast I like the way he was looking on Borads. I think he should still be an offnesive threat and scoring though, I dont think his defence and offence have to be mutually exclusive

Excellent game plan, great team defense, TMac is TMac, and Ming looks like a rookie. Ming has to come up big in the second half and the team has to keep the pressure on. The Mavs will make a huge run in the third. As hard as the Rockets are playing this would be very a tough one to lose. So WIN IT!

He couldn't even give Deke a short break. Yao is a Rox momentum killer and a big inspiration for the Mavs. I really he can hold his balls in the beginning of the 3rd.

    Umm....NOOO!

Yao's main job is to score, pull down rebounds, AND defend; he isn't here to do one thing and not the other.

If ALL we wanted from a center was his rebounding and D, then Mutombo would be starting for us.

Yao's offense is CRUCIAL, but for now his teammates are making up nicely for his shortfalls on offense.

That 3rd foul on Yao was really a bad thing, it could haunt him more as the game progresses, he really had no reason whatsoever to pick up the 3rd foul.

Yah well, I am looking for Yao to have a big 2nd half, can't expect T-Mac (with a bad back) to keep playing like this all game long. And Wesley, MJ, and Barry will have to keep knocking down shots. I have faith in MJ, I am kinda shaky on Barry and Wesley (although DW is doing well so far)

I just remembered that TMac is generally dissed for saying they would win the Detroit series when Orlando was at three wins. My guess is no let down for this game or series.

everyone keeps saying that ming needs to step up - but it seems that mutombo is doing a very capable job in his place.. oh well, i guess we'll see in the second half.
