In addition to that, Portland has just as much to fight for as Denver. Portland winning means a tie breaker vs SA, which I believe they own. They're fighting for 1st round Home Court Advantage too!]

    I beg to differ.
Duncan is not 100%, no doubt, but his condition is not as bad as a lot of people think. He just put up 16/13 in 22 minutes on Monday night against GS.

Even without Ginobli most of the season, SA still holds a record as good as anybody, and if you count in their Playoff experiences....

I just don't see Dallas wanting to face SA more than Houston.

Spread has turned into 0 now.. There's no favorite. WE are the favorite in this game though IMO.

You know, I miss the good old days...............This game would of been perfect on NBC 10 years ago when they hyped up big NBA games .........remember when the Rox played the Bulls they used the "Star Wars" theme with our big 3 (dream, clyde, and chuck) and theirs (Jordan, Pippen and Rodman)....................I wonder what they'd use for this game?.....anyway go Rox 87-83!! Division Champs again!!!!!

Dallas has been tough at home recently, the T-Wolves game notwithstanding. I expect them to win tonight. Those of you who think it will be easy to contain Dirk obviously haven't seen the way he's been playing lately. Maybe Artest can get in his head because Battier, Scola and Landry have no chance. Remember, if Dirk is gonna choke, it will happen in the playoffs (and don't give me the blather this will be like a playoff game). If Yao doesn't abuse Dampier tonight, the Rockets have little chance to win. Even if he does, it will be tough.

If they lose, they play us. They need to make a statement here.

It all boils down to the fact that the Rockets control their own destiny tonight. Teams are hoping and praying that the Mavs beat us - because the seedings hinge so much on the outcome of this game. If the Rockets win, we get the 2/3 seed - which is huge if we get past the first round. I hope the Mavericks watched the whole Jazz/Lakers game last night and let out a little sigh of relief. I hope Terry doesn't toy with our guards. I honestly deep down hope the Mavs (consciously or unconsciously) eased up on the gas pedal after seeing the Jazz get locked into eighth.

Past this game, I don't really care what happens. Second seed would be awesome, and I really think we can handle the Mavericks. Third seed would be great too...the Rockets have proved capable of decimating New Orleans, and it looks as if last season was a bit of a fluke for the Bees.

I know it's ridiculous, but BOY I'm nervous about tonight. Please, please, PLEASE come out with your A game, Rockets. Preferably your A+ game. Take care of business against Dallas and everything else will fall into place.
