That too . But one step at a time .... and resting CP3 tomorrow would be a priority for me

Just because a player doesn’t meet your criteria of looking like they’re giving effort doesn’t mean they’re not giving effort. Capela and Harden have played their asses off for our city. Surely they’re not perfect but that’s life.

I’m not saying this is you, but there are people on this site that claim to be fans but hate what Harden is as a player, what Capela is as a player. That combo is lethal yet somehow when they’re imperfect they’re terrible? I don’t get that mentality. Hakeem wasn’t perfect, nor Horry, nor Mario yet all of them hold a place in my heart like Yao or Malone or Scola or Rudy or Hayes. They gave their heart to Houston and a few bad plays will never ever mean they don’t give themselves for HTown.

Be a fan. That’s what this city needs, what this team needs. It’s time to believe.

Just an all around trash effort.

Harden with probably his worst game of the year, just lazy stepbacks and poor passes. Paul didn't play any better.

Paul’s shooting has been wayward and overall impact has been in rapid decline mode for the past few games now and Harden injured or not was just putrid. Those games from you’re best player cannot be tolerated so Harden needs to be better.

Of course, it happened before and if Chris doesn't bring it then we are in trouble. Whole point of CP is that they can't trap Harden cause it will leave point-god on the weakside playing 2 on 2/2 on 1

This was a horrible game. They almost let a crappy team beat them. I still can't believe they keep letting Luka go ape s**t on them. Prime Kobe, or prime MJ, and even prime Shane Battier would destroy Luka, and show him how the real NBA is all about. I miss it when real teams, and old school NBA players would destroy rookies. Today's NBA is soft.

Luka is big wing and none of them would match up with him or would get bullied inside. Plus he plays off pick and roll so good it doesn't really matter who you put on him cause he would use picks to change the matchups/catch defender on backheels. He doesn't play 1 on 1 basketball like Harden does

Glad we won too! Not sure about playing down to the competition was the reason for all the bricks flying from behind the arc though.

    A couple of thoughts.

    1. Clint, Gordon, and Tucker won this game. Thanks guys.

    2. In the final 5 minutes of the game the Rockets must run their offense. Just handing the ball to Harden and having him throw up a contested shot is not running our offense. Look at the first 5 minutes of the game, and then look at the last five minutes of the game. We really need to run plays at the end of the game the same way we run plays at the beginning of the game. This falls almost completely on Harden. Harden is the one with all the power on this team. Harden runs this team. Harden is the one that has to recognize that hero ball will not always work. Last night Gordon and Tucker were making shots, but all we saw at the end was Harden forcing up shots. I love Harden, but we have to run our offense at the end of games.

I mean but that's the thing about Houston fans, we are too content and don't complain enough. I am a fan. At Toyota Center, when everyone else besides the RR are on their phones or getting another beer at the bar, I'm cheering on the Rockets and booing the opposing team or the refs. I am a lunatic, not just a fan. There is always room for improvement. I actually want us to win, not just get a third place trophy and go out for ice cream afterwards. I'll believe when Harden steps up in the playoffs.

I missed this game. What's the bullet point summary of it? I'm happy for the win of course, but surprised it was so close.

"I'm not saying Capela doesnt have his faults" "your criticism is stupid". LOL, so which one is it? I'll play the Jeopardy theme while you think about it. All I said was, it would be nice if he had the awareness to catch some really nice passes that come his way. He lets them go through his hands or just bounce right off of them. It happened a few times last night. It's frustrating seeing him drop so many perfect passes. He should work on that. That's all I'm saying. Stop being so sensitive.

obviously isn't enough to understand what goes on around here and your posts suggest just that. try coming around more often. maybe you could be part of the sky is falling crew, if that's what you're looking for

I'm always lurking. But, this is why I don't post that often, because I come to talk about basketball, posters like you talk about other posters which is trivial and contributes nothing to the forum. I'm not interested in being apart of clutchfans drama and labeling people. I just like to talk about basketball. If you want to do that, then great. If not, have a nice day.

Yeah I wasn't the only person with that sentiment at that time if you can remember. And how does going through and sifting through my old posts help your argument? What's next, in a tree with binoculars in front of my house? Lol. If Harden steps up in the playoffs and carries us to the finals then I'll admit I was wrong.
