    I predict a massive, server crippling over-reaction.

    Either:

"Ah ha!!!! I told you! This team is crap. We've beaten up on easy teams--- the Lakers game was a fluke (they were tired, on a road trip, Kobe was gimpy) CD really screwed up by not trading Francis when he could. Fire Van Gundy! The man's a cancer. Rudy would have made sure this team scored more than 70 friggin' points. How many days until we can dump Francis and make a run at 'Sheed? And when is Yao ever going to "Get It?" You knew that he was due for a let-down."

    or . . .

"First seed in the West, baby!!!!!!! Bring on the Queens and the Fakers. Sure, Yao had a slow start to the season, but it's an absolute crime that he's not getting MVP consideration. We have Mo Taylor as 6th Man of the Year, Cat as Defensive Player of the Year, and of course JVG as Coach of the Year. Tim, can we start a thread where the fans give you ideas on how to market the championship parade?"

why you're hating...the MAVS are a offense oriented team they are capable of scoring 105........everyone of us can have an opinion..stop slashing at people who don't have the same opinion as yours

Maybe Sean Bradley will play more than his average of 2 minutes a game to stop Yao

    What Rox need to win:

-Hit outside shots early to extend zone which will open up the high post for yao and mo.
-When yao and mo get the ball in the high post, they need to hit shots and look to hit the open guy on perimeter.
-Contest all shots by the MAVS.
-Get back on D especially in transition to stop easy buckets and big scoring runs.
    -Limit turnovers.

they can do it against offense oriented teams, but not a defense team daily.

well, this game seems more like a test of JVG's coaching skill than the players'. I don't think Mavs can stop our offence, but I am not sure if Rockets could play a good D against the best offence team in the league. Shield, or Spear? it is a question.

This game all has to do with Yao's confidence. He should get 30 and 15. If he gets 20+ points 10+ boards Rockets win. If not its a toss up (Mavericks shooting and play of SF and Cat)

It's shame we had six straight lose to Dallas.

Come on,Rockets! We starve for a WIN this game. You Rox guys stand firm and show your fight on the court to tame that so-called Mavericks! Try you best to stop that embarrassed record.

It's 5 straight losses to Dallas. Already expecting the Rockets lose tomorrow? I guess it fits the mentality of a lot of people on this board. :D

Franz the Mav fan here with some comments ...

The Mavs are a VERY rested team playing at home for the first time in about 10 days, so energy shouldn't be a problem. Health in the rotation is solid except for Travis Best, who went on the IL last night with a tender Achilles tendon. Therefore, the Mavs have NO backup PG.

So, what Nellie will probably do is sub Jamison or Josh in for Walker pretty quick to give him a blow before he pulls Nash out at the end of the 1st Q. When Nash exits, Walker will be your new Mav PG, rested or not. The Mavs will then run a very simple offense with cutters flashing right and left off post picks while mostly Walker sits looking for a pass from the point. Best never ran the offense much anyway, so it's not TOO much of a difference, but! Francis could make hay while Fin or Josh has to check his nimble azz.

Scott Williams or Shawn Bradley will start against Yao MIng. Scott Williams plays like a 7-foot caffeinated squirrel - so he should get into foul trouble quick - if not - then it means the refs are letting the Mavs jostle Yao to his disadvantage. With Bradley, and also Najera and/or Fortson possibly getting a stint shoving Yao, the Mavs have lots of fouls and options a C - didn't even mention Dirk, who will probably get a turn or 2 at C, too.

Walker can't shoot to begin with, but he's in a miserable shooting slump, can't even hit a layup - so if you see a Rocket close on him on the perimeter denying his shot, you should throw something at your TV - BEG Walker to shoot if you're a Rox fan.

Nash looked unstoppable against Cleveland in the last game. He seems healthy, rested and spry - if he brings his A game again, could be bad news.

Finley has played and shot GREAT for a about 2 months now, if his 3-ball is falling, more bad news.

Dirk's midrange game has been fine, but his 3-ball has been average lately - just depends how hot he is tonight.

Jamison has been in a slump, started by an ankle sprain a few weeks ago - he's healthier, but Josh Howard has outplayed him since and is actually getting nearly the same minutes. Don't be scared of Jamison, be scared of Josh. Josh is a keeper, boyz. Pray Josh gets wreckless and gets into foul trouble - he's prone to do that.

Najera is just coming off a long stint on the IL and is rusty and a step slow - doubt if the Clutch BBS' hatred for him will have new ammo after tonight - we'll see.

If there is a theme for this Mavericks' season, it would be 'cruise control.' The offense is not quite as efficient this season, but we're way better on the boards. The defense stanks, but it's mostly because Dirk is a horrible choice as the last line of defense in the paint. The Mavs reek on the road, but are formidable at home. Mostly, effort is the difference game to game, situation to situation. The Mav vets realize you don't win spit in the regular season and seem to be sleep-walking at times waiting for playoff ball to arrive.

The Rox should hope for some Mav somnambulation and some cold Mav shooting, else it could be a long night.

And, of course, Stevie Franchise can't play like a moron or Nash'll eat him alive.

mavs is mavs. do you think they have space to improve? they've already reached the max. in the other hand, rox did not play their potential in last several meetings as everyone including experts said. if you pay a little bit attention on rox's recent games, you can see the fire in yao's eyes. another good thing is we get back sf's shooting touch. anyway, rox is rising. go ahead to figure out what happens if rox plays their potential.

when mavs loses today, don't be <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4_2_5v.gif' border=0></a>. it's because rox is too good for your mavs to handle. that's the trend NBA is heading to. just accept the reality <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/4/4_9_8.gif' border=0></a>

If Yao plays as he has been and Stevie shoots at or near 50%, the Rockets will win.
