Bad loss, Rockets played poorly which is becoming a recent habit, BUT I like the way they kept fighting when they were twenty down instead of "rolling over" like the Mavs did the night before. Unfortunately, the Rockets don't look like a team that is "peaking" in the playoff run. They look like a team that is declining. That's troubling. If Howard doesn't come back 100%, Rockets are in trouble as far as the playoffs is concerned.

Its clear the Rockets where not prepared for last nights game. Thats on Mchale, im sorry but I dont care if its "break time" for all star weekend. The WC is not joking around or taking time off. Rockets should of been prepared better. Would be interesting to know the practice schedule last week. Its one game yes, but I do NOT want to play any other team but SAS in the first round. We have got to take the 2nd or 3rd seed.

You sound like a child. Rockets have a great record. There are flaws, but if you actually believe what you just wrote, you don't know what you're talking about.

Was only able to catch the first half. Damn, we don't look good.

Not enough ball handling ability, too many turnovers.

Not enough shot-making ability, too many missed open shots.

Hopefully Dwight gets back soon because the only way we will be able to beat teams is on the defensive end, our offense is shot.

Went back to watch the comeback fall short and saw this. Want to know why the rest of the league doesn't like Harden and his defense still isn't taken that seriously?

Down 5, needing a stop and our fearless leader flops instead of being a help man on a drive to the basket. Love the guy, but he can't do stuff like this.

to be fair... he was two-armed away. I think 99% of the time that is seen and called a foul, whether or not he falls down tho.

Basically I'm just saying there's more obvious flops out there I guess, that didn't seem all that bad. Man, we just played bad offense and bad D, I'm surprised we didn't lose by 30.

I was at the game last night, and it never felt like it was the refs fault or anything outside of just...the Rockets sucking really bad for 36 minutes. My wife bought me tickets for my bday since we live in Dallas, so great time right?

Whelp, not when your boys play like that. We were dam excited when it got to within 5 in the 4th, but then on 3 straight possessions we didnt score, and I just knew it was over. Dallas then scored 9 straight points, and my wife was so sweet and cheering and trying to make the game memorable, but lol man the Rockets were awful. I couldn't get into it in the final 3 minutes... you don't cut it to 5 and then go back down 18 in like 90 bball seconds.

Its been 13 years since I moved to Dallas, and the HAVE won here, but I've only seen it once in the 9 or 10 games I've been to. Its nice to have won the last 3 of 4 vs the Mavs, but dam I'd like to see it live again one day, haha.

That was a mighty rational and level headed post about the game. Are you sure you're on the right forum? ;)

That pretty much sums it up. They just didn't play well enough to win. Not the end of the world, but perhaps cause for at least a little concern.

Sorry they couldn't give you a better birthday gift.

Harden should've been at the line 25 times tonight, that's the issue. He was getting hammered with no calls.

On one 'block' Aminu grabbed Harden's right arm while hacking his left, even drawing blood, with no call.

Josh Smith gets absolutely mugged with very few calls, but when other teams flop they get the calls.

I know that the argument is that 'people don't want to watch a free throw shooting contest', but they allow Hack-a-Dwight don't they?

A foul is a foul & should be called...imagine the uproar if Dallas was down 5 with 2 1/2 minutes left & resorted to Hack a Dwight or Hack a Smith by intentionally fouling, but the refs refused to call the fouls, the same way they swallow their whistle when Harden is Hammered?

    That's the issue...& it sucks.

Jack was being shopped when it looked like Brooklyn was a likely landing spot for Reggie Jackson. Obviously, Reggie Jackson did not end up there -- thus, no particular need for them to move Jack.

Not a single report suggested that Denver was even close to moving Lawson. If Morey struck out there, so did every other GM in the league who tried.

Reports suggest that PHX wanted TWO first rounders, DMo + another player from us for a Dragic rental. Perhaps Morey knows more than you do about Dwight's prognosis and decided it was not worth it to give up so much for a guy who made it abundantly clear he would walk in a few months.

And Berger reported a couple of days before the deadline that many teams were calling to inquire about Knight. You honestly believe that Daryl Morey -- the guy who plotted and pounced on Harden's situation in OKC -- was unaware of Knight's similar situation in Milwaukee? That sounds utterly ridiculous.

And then you have the gall to accuse people of being stupid and not knowing anything? That's rich.

    Yup. Pretty much this.

Morey's actions at the deadline weren't wrong at all. It's the fact that he allowed the PG position to become so starved for talent to begin with that was his real mistake. It's the most stacked position in the league, with many capable backups around the league as well. It should never have gotten to the point where Beverley was our most talented player at the position.

Dallas is the team that the Rockets should have no problems with in the playoffs. Very likely the only team they can beat in the playoffs.
