I agree. Harden had one of his mystifying, bonehead, head-scratching turnovers and he sprinted back on defense. It was so encouraging because it was in the 1st half when his offense was at jackass level.

Why does this even matter. The championship goes through GS. It doesn't matter when you play them. You will have to go through them regardless. Just because you think houston doesn't have a chance against gsw you want to prolong the playoffs. Avoiding those seeds makes no sense.

Well, Les would break a hip if he ran into an NBA player.

There's not much reasoning other than some people think prolonging a playoff run is some achievement at this point when you have to play gs eventually anyways. It shouldn't matter at all.

Unless someone else can somehow upset them before we get to them.

The cool thing is that Dallas has been fairly good this year. So this is a win against a good team that is a valid possible playoff match up.

    Good win.

Agreed.. The guys looked interested on the road tonight. It was the best game that they've played as a team this season imo - ball movement, less ISO's, and most importantly DEFENSE without Dwight to bail them out. I think thats how they were so good last year - with no Dwight in the middle they had to work harder on the perimeter.

I'm happy with what we are seeing from Lawson (although he still looks much slower than he was last year)

That DHO play Rockets kept running in 4th quarter huge key to win. Ran it great, but funny thing is, it's one of Motiejunas' best plays.

Not at all. Why is that so hard to believe? Was this team not elite last season? We just needed a real coach, time to gel and a healthy D-Mo / stretch 4. We will be the 3rd seed.

Does anyone have a gif of Nowitzki getting the ball in the paint when we were down 96:94 I believe. He moved his feet 6-8 times before turning around for a jumper. I thought that was so obvious and hillarious at the same time

Also indicative of improvement. Mavs closed out in second half much better. Rockets adjusted, went to moving without the ball, passing.

That's stupid logic. Of course you want to go as deep as possible in the playoffs and avoid tougher match ups early. Was it better that the Spurs went out in round one last year? Teams generally get better as they gain more playoff experience and go through wars. We want to meet Golden State when we're a well oiled machine with maximum chemistry.

It's stupid logic? Ok. You're talking about.a team that's never gone to the postseason where more experience is needed. Houston has enough postseason experience where that logic does not apply anymore. Especially to their core players. It's either you have what it takes to win or you don't. Prolonging it to avoid gs does nothing. Houston isn't some young team that needs to taste more experience. It's all or nothing period

Ariza did his best to lose it with the missed FTs..but he made up for it with the made 3s.
