Well, it's depressing not feeling confident that the team has at least a chance to pull a win out. Not that I feel they have NO chance, it just feels that way right now.

Dampier seems to get under Yao's skin. He is VERY physical with Yao and he is one of the few players that Yao seems to show some anger at.

The only way I see the Rockets winning, is if Yao & Tmac have monster games. The Mavs have too many offensive players to overcome though.

    Rockets: 88
    Mavs: 102

we might have a chance since we are not at home.

Damn....just noticed the 5 teams we lost to in our 5 game winning streak were a combined 2-16 in road games until they beat us.

At least Dampier won't front Yao, and probably no one will come to help. Yao will probably play better than last year when najera shut him down.

We beat them last season on ABC. Remember...Francis had that pass to Yao for the layup AND 1 to seal the game.

As always, I will watch the game, even though I have an exam the next day. The thing is I don't even get mad anymore. It's sad when you watch your favorite team lose badly and not get mad, you're kind of expecting it. :(

Clutch, could you please ban these heathens post haste for besmirching the good name of Enya's Orinoco Flow, the greatest easy listening song of all time. i don't like easy listening music in general, but they could play this song on continuous loop from now until i die and i wouldn't complain.

and i'll let Oski off the hook b/c he at least knew who it was and, as i found out this weekend, he is apparently roommates with my friend up at a&m.

it's like in the middle of this last astros season. we'd lose to the expos and i'd just shrug it off like nothing. apathy sucks way more than being mad at your team.

man, i just realized how serious things are getting in Rocketland. Will, Jeff, and Clutch all have a thread going in the GARM and Clutch's isn't even the game thread (he also made a poll in NBA Dish about helping the team). and now Doc Rocket has returned. dire times indeed.

NO doubt. I was just thinking about that too. All the mods are out in full force. So are the elders who have been gone for so long.

    Mav 83

I would just be happy to see if our PF's could hold Nowitzki under 40 points.

As for the outcome, we will probably get slaughtered.

I personally think the odds of us winning this game are 1 in 50,000 . I'm sorry I feel that way but we're not going to suddenly find ourselves against the Mavs who have consistently kicked our butts the last few seasons. If we do, then it will be like winning $100 in a scratch-off...a nice surprise.

I'm looking for lineup changes tonight and a decent effort. Don't expect us to win but any NBA team can beat any other NBA team on a given day. Today's starting lineup:

    Yao Ming
    Juwan Howard
    Tracy McGrady
    Bobby Sura
    Jim Jackson

I live in France and I can't watch the game as it's broadcasted in the night. So every morning I turn on my desktop to check the results. And now I am pretty used to wake up with a ugly loss of the Rockets.
I expect to have the same feeling tomorrow morning...

I fear a national tv embarassment. Then again, it might be enough to trigger a move.

    I don't know what I want anymore.

Instead of watching the game I will just tape it, and if they win then I will go watch the tape...but if they lose, at least I wasn't there to watch it. Its easier this way.

I'm going to play ESPN NBA Basketball and play Dallas on easy so that I can be happy when I go to sleep.
