For some four month newbie you sure talk too much, don't be surprised to see you get back to rookie status soon.

Sounds like this forum is occupied by YOFs. Let's change clutchfans.com to yaofans.com.

After watching this game, I can say one thing for sure.

Rockets has improved alot from last year. However, the same problem plauged us against from last year and year before.

we can close out our opponents. Yao and tmac both ineffective at the end of the game when the game itself is on the line.

Yes, feel free to leave anytime. When Yao was obviously the best rocket player on the night and you call him suck, what do you expect from the rest of the board?

yao scored 9/12 for 21 points. while being doubled 80% of the time!

the bench lost this for us. james and bonzi.

regardless, i like what i see.

tonight's performance means the following to me:

    a january's rockets > mavericks + devon harris.

Why do I want to leave? Several YOFs cant drive me away.

I think RA was insane because he wasn't satisfied with our "best player" of the game.

Yao was not totally dominating but he sure didn't suck as you say. If you want to be a troll, feel free. Just remember the moderators on this board are not idiots.

I think T-Mac forced alot in this game.

He took alot of shots where he was covered & Yao or another team mate was wide open.

Hopfully he'll look at some tape before tonights game & see where the openings were.

Is there a way I can get a count of times Yao was in the High Post vs Low Post. It seemed to me he was in the High Post 70 - 80 percent of the time. Yao is not effective in the high post because he is not fast enough to drive by anybody playing faced up. So his defender will just play him as tight as possible (taking away his shot, and limit passing). A lot of articles state that he needs to be more agressive but I don't think he can be in the high post.

for me the rockets were in the game all the way up until terry took over late late in the 3rd. We had a 5 point gap towards the end of the 3rd, then all of a sudden terry turned it into a 2 point mavs lead. The defense on Terry was appauling and he won it for the mavs.
I noticed also in the last half of the 4th the mavs started pushing the ball up the floor much quicker and it seemd to take the rockets by surprise. And again cause of this no one was defending those easy pull up jumpers terry was taking.
I personally feel the rockets could of won this game if they played abit better defense on there guards in the 4th. Dirk was a non factor for pretty much all the game until the mavs had all the momentum with 4 minutes to go and then he started getting into the game

If these chaps had converted on Yao's doubles, Yao would have gotten a triple double in this game.

I don't understand why people are mad at Adelman for taking Yao out?

He had 2 fouls, there were 6 minutes left to play, he played that whole quarter (I believe).

He gave Yao a rest and reduced the chance of him being in foul trouble later in the game, smart move. It's not like he didn't put him back in the game, I think he put Yao back wth like 3 minutes left and the first thing he did was feed Yao the ball.

Adelman has nothing against Yao, calm down, but he does need to figure out how to best USE Yao because he's never had a low post monster like Yao in his career and he has to adapt to Yao's playing style just as much as Yao has to adapt to Adelman's playing style.

Like i've said, Yao isn't the kind of center Adelman is used to, he doesn't exactly fit Adelman's playing style.

IT WILL BE A GRIND FOR YAO FOR THE NEXT COUPLE WEEKS I THINK.

When you have T-Mac and Kobe in the same team, a center "is not needed". Do you remember the Bulls with Jordan and Pippen? They had no Hakeem, no Ewing, no Shaq, no Zo, no Deke, no Robinson; they had Luc Longley and Bill Wennington.

That works fine as long as 1 player accepts his role as the second fiddle. Pippen new his role on that team and new when it was crunch time MJ was in charge. Who's the second fiddle between Tmac and Kobe. I guarantee Kobe won't play second fiddle to no one. He hated it when with Shaq and he won't ever do it again. So that means Tmac has to accept his role of second fiddle and allow Kobe to finish games. Also Pippen was a better defender than both and there is no Rodman on this team to play D and rebound.

Rockets is becoming a perimeter players team. All inside players (including Yao) are blue collar now.

OK... now today I have watched 3 movies.

    1st movie: Rockets v Mavericks.

A movie exactly like Planet of the Apes.... good movie from beginning to the beginning of the ending. Then everything goes apesh!t (pardon the pun) at the end.

Result - draining, demoralizing, depressing. Even though I know that this would be the first of about 22 losses for the Rockets, it always sucks to see them lose a game they could have very well won. The ironic thing is that if they get blown out, I don't feel that bad. They lose a close game like this in the last few minutes because of poor lapses, hell comes tumbling down upon my emotions (yeah, call me a girl... whatever)!

    2nd movie: Stardust.

    Love the show.

    3rd movie: Clutchfans GARM Thread: Post-Game Analysis - Mavericks 107, Rockets 98.

Synopsis of movie: The soap opera that will end all soap operas. Watch the full range of emotions from fans of all creeds; Francis Only Fans, James Only Fans, Yao Only Fans, T-Mac Only Fans, Rockets Fans, heck even Dallas Fans! Ride the rollercoaster from beginning all the way to the end. See the highs and lows of a fan board as fans debate and tear into one another. The highlight of the drama comes when YOFs and TOFs face up for the gladitorial battle of their lives for their champion. And what should the audience do? Eat popcorn and drink a can of gooooood beer (or several).

Now that I have gotten that out of the way..... you want to know what I think is really wrong with this game?

    WE GOT FREAKIN OUT REBOUNDED!!!!!!!!

If your shooters ain't falling, REBOUND THE DAMN BALL!!!!!

That is ONE of JVG's key principles that I hope the Rockets would never forget. And I can't believe we got outrebounded by a team that has WEAK INTERIOR PRESENCE!!!!

Whew.... got that off my chest for now :D

Funny though isn't it? Just last year we were one of the league's top 3-point shooting teams. Now we're shooting 27% from the 3pt line
And what's up with Shane Battier's shooting this year?
