There were a sequence of 3 plays, we were outscored by 7-0. Other than tha, we played them tough tonight. Still no excuse, we gotta do a good job down the strech.

Now, the problem was that I dont think we have an indentity yet, offensively meaning everybody knows when and where to shoot, with time that will improve. Defensively, we have to go a job to defend pick n roll, stop guessing, and grabbing the boards.

    Overall, we will be OK.

Yao needs to get more touches at low post though, and Tmac probably could force the issue a little less, but I like his aggression tonight.

Yao shot at least 2 jumpers including a fadeaway! That's how good his shot was tonight.

Also, as Avery nailed it, our bread&butter is Tmac+Yao pnr, or Yao at low post, shooters spread out, with Tmac feeding. Again, with time, RA will recognize it.

Jason Terry always kills us. 3/17 shots inside ten feet of the basket -- wow. I'm totally willing to roll the dice with our current squad and testing if he can make those kind of shots in the playoffs.

did u watch the jazz series? our offense cost us the series where we put everything on tmac and yao?

right now, it's mostly tmac and yao. but as the season goes on, tmac and yao won't carry the load so much as we spread the wealth.

we need james and bonzi to counter stack and terry. they did a great job of scoring 30+ off the bench the first few games. we need those v. these teams.

yao and tmac scored enough tonight.

That photo of Deke jumping up from the bench was when Yao Ming had that single-handed slam dunk posterizing Juwan Howard in 2Q.

Why is RA looking so unhappy? Is it because he did not like Yao going inside? is RA a Yao hater?

Read my premise, down the strech. You want Bonzi and James to set the table? Yao and Tmac setting table, doesnt mean they have to finish. When eithe or both get doubled, others go to the hoop.

well, so far I haven seen any princeton, not even close.
at best, weve been running a JVG-like offense with more guards penetrating/jacking up jumpers, and of course, without Yao down low.

It's first shot offense right now. Hopefully RA will teach.

Of course hes not happy, cuz due to his playbook, Yao shud have passed the ball to the open cutter/guards other than finishing strong.

Wow I didn't even see this picture before. Now I understand why Adelman took him out right after the massive dunk. He was supposed to pass, got pissed at the double, and dunked it instead, and RA said "you weren't supposed to do that". That also explains why Yao was so defensive and cagey about the touches issue after the game. Adelman is far worse than I originally thought. This might have been the best Rockets play of the year so far and Adelman benches him and gives him an earful. Ridiculous.

He is guilty of the cardinal sin the folks here accuse of JVG of: trying to mash a round peg (Yao) into a square hole (high post offense). My patience with Adelman is almost at an end.

How can you defend Adelman after seeing that picture? Yao got BENCHED and probably given an earful after he POSTERIZED THE DEFENSE on what is the best Rockets play of the year so far. Ridiculous. It's not even like he jacked up a bad shot, he DUNKED and drew a THREE-POINT PLAY. Ridiculous.

I am counting down the days until Yao vents to Sohu or Wang Meng and trashes Adelman. It would be even better if he went on ESPN and did it.

Disagree on your comments on Scola, he will prove how good he is soon. several reasons for the loss: 1)TMAC lose too manu jumpers, very bad habit, will hurt every player in the team in long run. He should attack the baskets and get FTs, if he keeps on jumpers, Rox still can't pass the first round. 2)Defense is not so good as before. 3) Yao is too quiet like a kid, maybe he will be a kid through all his career.
