i don't want to get into it but he is. ask any GM. they'll take yao to build around b/c he's a big man and he doesn't have back problems, but i u read all the player rankings, tmac is always ranked ahead of yao and that's after his worst offensive season every since he became a star.

yao is great as a big man, but i don't think u can truly depend on solely him to carry your franchise. he hasn't proven he's a franchise player yet where if tmac goes down, he'll carry this team on his back and bring us to the playoffs.

but he is our most efficient player.

This is not a bright side. I'd rather he look horrible there to force Adelman to plant him back in the low post. I DON'T want him shooting 20 footers. Now Adelman has an excuse to keep him there.

i don't mind criticism. like i said, tmac should get the blame for this loss.

but again, these yao fans just go crazy when the man is still trying to adjust to the system and adelman is having a low post guy for hte first time in his life.

i'm like *******, can u give the guy more than 4 games and a preseason??? he'll use yao effectively as the season progresse and yao will do his thing.

What player rankings? They are all fan player rankings, and the GMs were never asked to compare Yao and McGrady.

McGrady just isn't a better player than Yao and by the end of the year it will be obvious. It was obvious at the beginning of last season, I know that for sure.

i don't want to get into it. i don't mind your opinion that you think yao is better. i'm all for this team advancing past the first round giving yao and tmac a taste of a deep playoff run and going to the finals.

but if you want to compare yao to a fat tmac who sat on his arse and gained 20 lbs going into a season and playing scared, your standard for yao is low.

"It's all about growing and learning for mistakes. We're a team that's only been together for a month. We're still growing. Tonight was a learning process for us."

    according to adelman

why can people on here not see that?

No, Adelman won't. Today, I think it is because when Yao was in the low post, he was always doubled. Thus, Yao had to pass the ball to outside players, but they didn't shoot ball well. Otherwise, Mavs wouldn't double Yao all night, and he would have more open looks.

We are still a new team. I believe Adelman and his staff will go back to study this game, and make better offense design.

T-Mac carried us to a 23-12 record when Yao was out last season. Yao can't carry us when T-Mac is out. T-Mac is our best player. Stop being a YOF

He carried the Rockets to a 6-15 record in 2005. Stop being a YOH.

Also i think more people would listen to you criticism of mcgrady if it wasn't so obvious that you hate him and will not give him credit for anything.....i have been reading your many posts on this board and i don't think you have said 1 positive thing about t-mac....why be a rockets fan if you hate t-mac so much? you must be a huge Yao fan. Speaking for myself i enjoy both of them, it just bothers me when people like you spazz out over a loss, if Yao got traded would you still be a Houston fan? don't answer this because based on most of your posts the answer is pretty obvious.

I don't hate McGrady. I rag on him because it is easier to be on the offensive rather than the defensive. McGrady fans flame Yao all the time with impunity. I was tired of simply defending Yao. I decided to hit the TOF's back where it hurts, and tonight I actually have a good reason to.

    Amen.

The team(Houston Rockets) are a living thing. The players are learning the system (not near enough movement tonight, etc) and Adelman is learning how to use these players (Yao in the low post, etc). It will all eventually come together, I promise.

Now the defense, that was kinda disconcerting...

u know what he said about tmac's first 2 games? he was just hot and he'll come back to earth. it's like he's lucky he's hot.

he just does not know how much tmac does for this team, moreso than any other superstar in the L. give the man some respect.

u may not like his shot selection, or how he plays the games at times, but we cannot live without this guy. this team will go down the drain without this guy for long stretches.

i don't mind if you think yao is the best in the world. i want him to be too. b/c if he is, we're better for it. but please, don't disregard what others do on this team.

yes, and we agree with you. so why do u keep posting? most tracy fans (if you want to call them that) are blaming tmac for his shot selection... and the loss on him.

and u still want to go on the attack? just unbelievable.

exactly what i was referring to, even when we win because t-mac had a great game he cant give mac the credit he deserves, I'm not saying he has to praise him, but to say "t-mac will come back to earth" are you a Houston fan?

Our bench had an off night. That's all.

We had a chance to win.

Am I right? Is McGrady still shooting lights out or is he back to laying bricks? Tonight you can't even defend him by saying he was making his teammates better, because he wasn't, since he was hogging the ball. Did I say McGrady was not an important part of the team? All I said was that the hot shooting was a fluke, and I have been proven right.

I'm pretty confident we can play .500 ball w/o McGrady with these bench guys by pounding it into Yao. Last year the starting lineup w/o McGrady was Yao, Hayes, Battier, Head, and Alston. That's 4 players who need to have shots created for them and only one who can do it. This year we have Mike James and a rejuvenated Bonzi.
