A repost gets Yao in a better post position. Once he gets it back, he immediately attacks, he can then take one dribble and shoot a good shot, a close jumper or a hook. The double can't get there in time and Yao can go baseline away from the double anyway. This worked very very well last year. I've seen it once this year.

Tmac should learn how to get Yao involved.

I agree about Diop but Scola made him look bad when he was shutting him down completely.Luis should have been left in to deal with him more...I know it's early,Scola's adjusting, the teams getting used to a new offense and that it's most important for us to be peaking as a TEAM at the end of the year but Dude needs to be playing starter's minutes soon.

whered that crap come from? is this your true color?
Im not gonna get into the Tmac vs Yao debate --- but Yao is the MOST EFFICIENT scorer on the team. when your so-called "best player"s having an off night, YOU PASS THE GOD DAMN BALL TO YOUR MOST EFFICIENT SCORER.

Damn it.....could we just beat the frikkin Mavs just once. I am cursed and have to live in Dallas, and am SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO tired of hearing the fairweather Mavs fans already. I have had to listen to Cowboy fans for months, and now the Mavs fans.

Sorry....this rant was necessary for my sanity.

    Sick.

    Tired.

    Sick and Tired.

They were depleted too....Dampier, Harris, Bass, Nowitzki in foul trouble. I am going to sleep now, and when I wake up, I am going to pretend this was all a dream.

what about him waving tmac off twice in 8 seconds, passing to Luther Head and Luther ignoring tmac while passing to a corner-cutting James who clangs a missed 3 ball

Well, If it goes in I guess no complaints :(

again i agree w/ u yao should have gotten more shots. he played great. but u learn from the losses. we're still a long way from where we should be.

just don't be so pessimistic. at least we wanted yao to touch teh ball. we'll try to figure out more ways to get him the ball where he can just finish and eff the double teams. relax.

Another thing is, Yao almost fouled out both Dampier and Diop by himself last year because he got a lot touches down low. And he got more than 15 FTs to go with it.

What about this game? Diop was never in foul troulbe, got a double doube with 4 blocks on our driving guards, and still had enough energy to do some damage in the end. And Yao? 5 FTs only for the entire game.

Good signs: Bonzi had good minutes and I continue to enjoy MJ's tenacity. Yao looked unstoppable for stretches. Scola and Hayes all had effective minutes, yet must limit fouls (though there a majority of BS calls tonight).

Bad signs: We stopped feeding Yao. Also, while he was effective shooting from the high post I prefer seeing Yao down low (I think pounding the low post changes). Rafer gave us nothing again, man I'm so sick of him. NO clutch play either. We handed it away with turnovers at the end more so than them taking the game out of our reach. We showed our new running offense can compete with theirs (which the boards here already knew), but lacked the closing mentality. Tmac and MJ need to step up and find ways to win, like GREAT teams do. Also we handled the zone defense poorly. Got to learn to work with Yao at high post

Conclusions: I'm not sure we are a great team. We are a good team who could be great, but we need a closer. We must learn to finish. I think we will see more zone defenses because of how it finished us tonight, so we will have to learn to may teams who zone-defend us pay, because we have the post presence and perimeter shooters to do so. Step Up Rockets!

Last year the Rockets were one of the top 3pt shooting teams in the league...this year we have been complete crap. That, along with the slashers looking cmpletely lost, would have made any repost of Yao completely ineffective.

As I said before, what the Rockets should have done more of was a T-Mac/Yao pick and roll and let Yao hit the open jumper, which he was very effective at.

No, he isn't. The "McGrady > Yao?" debate has gone in circles and circles so I suppose we are at a dead end and must agree to disagree. All the arguments have been hammered out and beaten into the ground repeatedly.

Nights like these are where TOFs show their true colors.

cmon, are we gonna tear each other up after 4 FREAKIN GAMES?

we're still a work in progress. our bench didn't step it up like it had the first 3 games. they got outscored by 30 tonight.

everyone knew yao should get more shots. but he was doubled. hopefully we'll devise a way to get yao the ball where he's closer to the basket and just put it up even over double teams

I didn't see Tracy throw one entry pass into Yao today. I can only think of one instance tonight when Tracy connected with Yao on a pass. It was a pick and roll and Yao got fouled and went to the line.

Yea, right, a "BETTER" player who is not even the best in his playing position in the league and disappears in game 7.

well it didn't happen tonight so don't get your panties in a wad. Calm down, it's just one loss, the most efficient scorer in the universe will get his chance again tomorrow night.

Wade isn't the best player in the league yet I'd still take him over Nash, Bron, Yao etc...

And T-Mac dissapeare din game 7? 29/12/5 on 12-25 shooting is dissapearing? He scored or assisted on all but 9 FG's...he did not dissapear.

i can only imagine a player putting up 29/13 as disappearing. he must be that good. i don't care whose better b/t tmac and yao. yao is our most efficient player. tmac is our best all-around player. we need them both at their best.

but why does this board panic and diss one another so easily after every loss?

u can blame tmac, but don't diss him. u can blame yao too when he struggles, but don't diss him. please.

tmac should be blamed for this loss. move on to the spurs and try to win that. redeem ourselve.

Wilt Chamberlain? Wasn't it like 20,000 women? Definitely the most efficient scorer. Way more efficient than me. I had to go and get married...
