Yao never been fast. but the way he moved tonight was fast compare to last 3 games.
He kept dribbling? are you kidding me? since when Yao started DRIBBLING? in about 50% of possessions he got the ball in the low post he STAYED PUT to draw the double team on him then passed out to perimeter --- our shooters couldnt finish --- blame himself for only getting 12 shots? You might as well speak to MJ about his 4/13 shooting.

Watch the replay and count how many touches Yao had, expecially down low. He is being used as a role player right now.

The Rockets had a panick attack at the end of the game. This is business as usual. Who's going to be this Rocket's version of Cassel and Horry?

When your a supremely gifted player like T-Mac, you can understand why he wants to carry the offense sometimes. Same goes for that Laker guy, that point of him taking only 5 shots for that one game was a jerkoff move, but he proved the point that the Lakers offense goes nowhere without him.

Sheesh, what's up with so many people sniffing Yao's jockstrap tonight?

    Oh yeah, one other thing:

    DEAR BONZI,

    Please STOP taking 3-pointers.

It's not your game. You're killing us.

1TO in 37 minutes showed Yao didn't get nearly enough ny touches since we know he's a hight TO guy.

Now that is BS. I am not happy with Yao for not demanding that the guards pass him the ball. Resort to doing it Andrew Bynum style if you have to ("Give me the f*cking ball!!!!!").

I also wasn't happy with him either the Utah game nor the Portland game. I know where Yao's faults are and when he doesn't play well. I do know he played well tonight and wasn't fed enough.

Maybe you can just concede that McGrady was too much of a ballhog tonight, couldn't his shots, and therefore we lost?

Hell I conceded that Yao had a very poor effort in the Utah game and a mediocre effort in the Portland game.

    1. For one, I don't think this game means the end of the world the Rockets, it's clearly a tough road game to win in Dallas.

    2. Role players need to improve...simply said. Offensively and defensively.

    3. Three things about Yao: 1) He should attack double teams more often try to fight through them, even though he does at times, but just a little more often. 2) He should've took some of those shots from McGrady....let him go Kobe like that 12-31....I don't care who is shooting...that is not a good percentage. 3) I think number 11 would be the reigning MVP, if he had not missed 33 games last year. He is a better player than Nowitzki, the media-selected MVP....He should really assert him self more and be fighting for at least 17 to 20 shots a game.

yao got doubled. you have to like how he stayed patient and took what's there. if he forced things, he would have turned it over. yao played a great game. nothing u can do when avery wants to take you out.

yes, i blame tmac or this loss too. he took some ill-advised shots (but the last 3 were just desperation shots so in fact he only took 28). he should have passed more to end the 3rd.

but again, i liked his aggressiveness. he reached double digit ft attempts AGAIN. that happened rarely last yr.

tmac tried to win it, he failed. i don't mind the criticism. i think tmac knew what he did wrong tonight.

but again, i'm not down on the team. we're far away from our peak. analysts and ppl think this houston team will be the same team 2-3 months from now?

we're operating on talent right now of tmac and yao.

That one preseason game where he hit 3 or 4 treys really screwed it up, he thinks he's got 3pt range now.

Anyone else find it ironic what the headline in this morning's Chronicle was?

Big 4 boost Rockets bench: James, Wells, Scola, Head

What more do you want McGrady to do?

You're ok with Rockets losses when Tmac's the culprit cuz he's your favorite player, but when other people cry foul because getting Yao involved would have likely resulted in a win tonight, you're confused and think they're "sniffing Yao's jockstrap"? Irony anyone?

it's ONE GAME. he's not gonna shoot 30+ shots every game.

and i felt like he felt since yao was doubled, the role players weren't make their shots so he took it upon himself. if the others shot well, i think he would have passed. james and bonzi struggled mightily tonight. scola was just a ghost.

head, well, time to either put in francis b/c he's useless on offense and can't play D.

Has anyone brought up the offensive/defensive rebounding?

It seemed like when the Rockets put a shot or if the Mavs put up a shot, that damn Diop is right there fighting for the rebound. Why the hell isn't Yao, Hayes, Scola, or anyone boxing his ass out? He gave the Mavs many 2nd chances....
