    Exactly,

New Coach, new offense, new attitude...

Rome was not built in a day and there will not be an indefeated team in the NBA..

So relax, drink some gin and juice and smoke a cigar...

But on the other hand, what if he would have made 45 and above on his fg's tonight? Then it will be a different story and everyone will praise him instead....

But alas. He bombed. Plain. Simple.
    O well we have 78 games left. 78-0! :p

True. Averaging 2 more assisits only got you 4 points. And Rockets lost more than 4 FT attemps in that process along with the most deadly weapon down low in the entire NBA.

Why would Tmac feel the need to carry this team? Isn't the whole purpose of RA's offense to spread out the scoring? Does he have so little faith in his teammates that he feels the need to jack up 31 shots? That reminds me an awfully lot like someone in LA, but I can't put a name to him....

Then repost, watch the game again and you'll see there were at least 5 possessions with 10+secs left on the clock when Yao got double teamed.

I dont mind Yao not being the first option. but when Tmac was way off --- feed the ball to Yao and let him create.

    plain and simple.

    TOs? Mavs had more TOs..

If you read my post I talked about how he did it over and over against Utah last yr in the playoffs, not just tonight.

Yeah, and i saw he was slow. he kept dribbling too long before making his move thus letting the doubleteam always get to him, maybe should blame himself for only getting 12 shots.

Adelman has been doing a great job of getting TMac different looks this season, would definitely like to see Yao get more easy shots.

As for tonight, we were horrendous on D down the stretch...just bad. Offensively, didn't like what I saw w/ putting TMac in the iso over and over. I know it's TMac but we can/should get easier shots. We had too many TOs trying to force the ball into Yao and TMac. Run a play, hit TMac off the screen or Yao flashing in the middle.

The Mavs doubled way before Yao dribbled into his moves. They came right when the entry passer cuts across. They did it everytime and the Rockets got clean looks most of the time and couldn't make the shots.

Then he doesn't do that, takes quick shots, misses more of them, and you blame him for jacking up jumpers and jump hooks. It is also entirely possible that Adelman told Yao to wait for the doubles so the shooters can get open.

Yao apparently can't please TOF's, and apparently McGrady can do no wrong.

Yeah, that's why we lost. Yao should blame himself for only get 12 shots. MeMac going 12-31 had nothing to do with it because he was trying to will himself and the team to victory, which is OK. If a player shoots 75% but doesn't get the ball, it's his own fault for not being a 7' 6" center, and not a guard (the only position to consistently hog shots in this offense)

Dude, these TOF's actually criticize Tmac when he deserves, unlike you who never criticize about anything.

I'm beginning to think you're an incarnation of Yao_fan

this coming from the biggest Yao homer on these boards. you guys need to realize this is our 4th game of the season and stop hating on everyone the second we lose. it was a good game and the mav's just capitalized on their opportunities, we will continue to improve. we have a special team this year.

Maybe because he was needed to be as agressive as he was for the team to stay in the game? Yao kept being doubled and no amount of reposts would have helped as guys like Bonzi Wells were jacking up jumpers out of their range (1-7 from Bonzi, James was 4-13. Battier was 2-6 including a fadeaway off the dribble, Scola was all around putrid, etc...). T-Mac started off hot, and kept them in the game in the 3rd with his FT shooting. In 4th he sucked, but the rest of the team did as well.
