JVG was a genius at one thing on offense. Getting Yao the ball in good position to score, double or no double. Yao dropped 25 in the first half against Dallas last year, facing the exact same players. Of course, he didn't have McGrady and James in that game to go 16-44.

T-Mac took more shot than the rest of the starting line-up combined.

Either we need to change our starting line-up or T-Mac needs to find the open man more. We must beat the double teams by finding the open man.

no, i think he just tried to take over b/c yao couldn't get shots b/c of the double teams. he saw his teammates not stepping up (james/bonzi/scola = one of the rare nights).

but again, didn't we want this aggressive tmac?

u can blame this loss on him. but this is the tmac that i want: at least try to take over the damn game and not just be a playmaker.

kobe for the past 3 yrs averages 28% fg. but he wants to shoot in the 4th. that's what tmac is doing.

Yao is not our best player. Our best player is T-Mac. Besides, Yao cannot dribble and is turn over machine.

Yao does not fit with Adelman's system, not yet at least.

Last year we had to spoon-feed the ball to him, this year it's not like that.

Why do we have to play the Mavs 4 more times. Just put in the tapes of last season. It keeps repeatin like this....
    I still believe though.....

Are you kidding me? From the scoreboard, it's obvious that we lost this game from Tmac, Bonzi, Mjames's poor shooting..

I think Bonzi isn't being used correctly. Putting him on the wings and letting him shoot outside jumpers, is useless. Why not let him abuse them like Stackhouse and Howard do to us.

Man how i hate the Mavericks.

The three calls on rebounding (2 on Heyes, 1 on Yao) may one of the reasons, but why do we have so many turnovers? No one on the passers and the passers just passed the ball to crowd for turnovers!
    and I dont get it:
What is the focus of the fouth quater? Yao? T-MAC? I didnt see.
Why most of the forth quater we have only Yao or only T-MAC on court but not both.
Why didn't play Yao more in this game since they had no anwser.

McGrady hogged the ball and took too many shots, and they were off. Yao couldn't get enough touches. The bench sucked today and we lost.

More effort needs to be made to get Yao touches in the post. If he gets doubled, then repost, triple post, and quadruple post. The double team has to go away eventually. When there was no double, Yao hit his shot every time. The team gave up on Yao even though he was playing well..... not a good sign at all. Looks a lot like 2004-2005. I blame Adelman and (today) McGrady for regressing Yao back to where he was 3 years ago. They need to dig out more of the JVG plays to get Yao single coverage in the post.

if u go to YOUR 82games.com, kobe has one of the worst fg% in the 4th quarter in the last 3 yrs around 28-30%. but he still takes them.

you want your best player to want to shoot. tmac did. he failed. ok, blast him. but i like it.

yao was not going to get shots w/ the way they doubled him tonight

What a frustrating loss, we could have won this game easily
During the whole game, the Rockets were playing better than the Mavs but couldn't keep the distance and Dallas always stayed close (just think at the end of the 3rd quarter, rockets up 75-70, dallas leads 77-75 at the end of the quarter).
Down the stretch, the Mavs made the plays. That ugly 3 by Dirk killed us
It was pretty much over after that run.

Well a sad first loss to the season, but Dallas played best at the right time.

3-1, still good, gotta get ready for tomorrow's game cause that may be even tougher !

    Go Rockets

RA's offensive is STUPID. It pains me to watch Yao spend 75% of his time on the high post.
