Dwight and Parsons were sensational, yet the Rockets still lost. Let's look at Harden vs Dirk, which guy stepped up?

Gotta give credit to their coach. Carlisle is one of the best coaches in the league. Knew how to contain our guys.

Gotta be fantastic in the 4th, partner.

And yeah, the season is still young but this has been a recurring theme all season long. Lapse on D, losing games with double-digit leads. At some point, someone has to be accountable.

nobody is calling Lin a superstar, hes at best the 3rd option behind howard harden, just that mchale gives him no respect for how well he's played this season, when you're getting yanked in and out of the game because you missed 2 consecutive shots, u cant establish rhythm

Very informative. We should not be switching tonight on Dirk...

Some of the calls are questionable, but then again refs make mistakes every game. Some of the "clutch" shots were missed, but much of it is just luck and in any close game you can think back to dozens of moments when a make or miss would have changed things.

But the main thing to carry away from this loss is that the defense still needs work. The Mavs got good shots all night, even when Houston had a lead-- Houston was just also getting good shots and shooting even hotter. It's really the main problem that the team needs to fix. The Mavs are a talented offensive team, with smart veteran players. The Rockets defense cannot handle such a team yet.

And they actually ran plays! They had screens for their cutters and slashers all day.

Something was wrong with Lin tonight. He never got a rhythm going. Even his 1 drive to the basket he was way off. He missed a FT. He just didn't have it tonight.

Lin had 2 FGA until he was FINALLY brought back into the game late in the 3rd. Very few, if any, players can just get into the flow of the game after being frozen out like that.

Do you know that there is an ignore list???? Use them.
It's one game, no need to jump to a conclusion.

Harden did have a few good plays. He hit 2 foul shots early in the 4th, made that dish to T-Jones for the dunk, and the 3-pointer after Bev's. But again he resorted to ISO hero ball way too often. At some point something's gotta give. Either we have a selfish player who ignores what the coach is telling the team to do(there's no way McFail is drawing up ISO plays 27 feet away from the basket out of timeouts) or McFail has zero control over these guys.

lol lin isn't 100% FT. But McHale never gave him an opportunity to run the offense at all or set up a rhythm

How can you get a rhythm when you don't get the ball when you're playing?

Plenty of blame to go around, as usual. I seriously fail to understand how there wasn't a single play drawn up for Chandler in those last few minutes, when he was red hot all game. When McHale pulled out the whiteboard, I got hopeful. Silly me.
