I like Ish but he's a liability. They kept leaving him wide open because he can't shoot.

The knee jerk is crazy tonight. Not even seeing the team that's going to open the season and the foul calls have been ridiculous. Calm yourselves it's 1 half of the first preseason game. Let it sink in. 1 half of the first preseason game

It's just preseason but the lack of secondary playmakers isn't something that's going to magically fix itself. Lots of the problems we're seeing tonight are problems that most people predicted looking at our roster.

    Horrible half.

Ish Smith playing horrible, god I hope that Johnson can step up this season into that backup PG spot.

Harden and Ariza playing well. Bev mediocre. Howard getting BS fouls.

Defense is still crap. Like I said last year, we have horrible defensive schemes from a coaching standpoint.

Bench looks bad but we'll be alright. Nothing too surprising that I've seen so far. DMo needs to watch out for that backup PF spot, Adrian might take it from him.

The GARM has been MUCH better.

    Slow, boring game

Rockets need to do a better job defensively.

    Rockets aren't helping the helper.

You want to minimize how much time you do put (James) out there when it's not necessary.

He needs to stay sharp offensively because that's 95% of what he does for the Rockets. I'd like to see him work more defensively in the team concept.

I don't have a problem (James) handling the ball. It's how long he handles it. He can't handle it 20 seconds. Get rid of it more. Be the finisher as opposed to the starter (with the ball).

I noticed that too. All kinds of excuses. "I wonder if they will have an out-of-bounds play this early in the pre-season?" C'mon really? Then one of them said they need some one that is able to create when Harden is off the floor (paraphrasing)". Yes they do, BUT, that shouldn't be the end-all-be-all solution. How about a creative offensive scheme that can create or facilitate offense?

Omg! Portland is down by double digits to the lowly Jazz at halftime! Looks like they'll be gunning for that #1 pick with the Rockets too!

Lin is in LA where the Lakers Rookie PG already has Kobe's blessing which is not good for Lin.

Jeff Adrian actually looks like he could contribute down low.
    Ish Smith looks terrible.
Johnson looks like he's eventually going to be a stud. He has natural poise.
The greek looks a little overwhelmed at the moment. He is big though so that's nice.
D-mo should never shoot 3's ever. If he can't do it by now he never will.

Overall the team looks completely disjointed and confused.

Hands down Black is the most worthless player for us that's been on the court, the question is the 2nd most worthless player Ish or Jones?

I agree. Not sure why some people don't get this. Yes this IS pre-season, but, this is the same type of offense that they ran in the playoffs and it didn't materialize into success in the playoffs.
