He used to be an insane defender. It comes down to lack of effort, he doesn't look like he's trying. If he's not healthy, then sit -- we were doing better with him off the court. People can't wait for Battier to return because he'll take defensive pressure off of McGrady, but, I want Tracy to go back to his great defense. I really hope he's back at 100%, soon, he's not doing us any favors.

Plus Battier not being out there is really hurting us. He is a floor general on the defensive side. I love Ron's defense, but he does tend to gamble therefore getting everyone out of position as opposed to Battier not gambling and not throwing the whole defense off.

Our defense will pick up, for the time being it is painful having to watch the poor defense, but it isn't that bad, although our transitional D is not all that great.

I think it's more than just not being in shape. He's still injured.

I don't think it benefits us in the long-term to play him this many minutes while he's hurt. Adelman knows what he's doing so we'll see how this approach works out.

If we put Artest on Dirk,then no one can guard Howard.We can really use Battier this game.Ron on Dirk ,Shane on Howard,problem solved.

This has been typical of Rafer his entire career. Last year, that 22 game win streak gave people a glimpse of Rafer that had never previously existed and more than likely won't exist again.

One thing I am worried about is that Mavs will come out on fire for that 3rd quater. Hopefully we won't allow that to happen, but as I said I am worried about it.

We need to get back to attacking the basket. Hopefully we will see better McGrady in the 2nd half

I'm getting sick of guys who can totally change their mind about someone, and judge them based on one game. Why don't you look at the past 82 games and see what he's done for us last season? He gets the job done, and that's all we need from him. We don't need him to be a star, but just a stable PG, and that's what he does. Yes, he's not shooting well, but he's recovering from injury. His shot will come back, just like T-mac. Just give it some time.

Perhaps we should look for trading Rafer. He is definitely not as good as last season, maybe cuz the competition of pg is not that fierce as last season....
