The offense and Defensive effort has been refreshing to see from team so far. This team will only get better as the season rolls along.

Is this referencing Thompson? Because him and Curry are the only ones of the 15 with skin-tones a bit different...

Still have no idea how this team will do in the regular season. Our bench is very weak without Nene and Beverley in there. We are not a team built to withstand injuries which is concerning.

Harden, Gordon and Anderson (and Nene when he was playing) all look ready to go and that's great. As long as they are healthy we should have a winning season at least. A little worried about Ariza but he is streaky so he should be fine. Brewer is still bad.

I'm not sold yet on the young guys (McDaniels, Harrell and Dekker). Out of those three I think Dekker will have the biggest impact this year. He's shown some nice flashes I have to say. I can't yet tell if Capela is getting better from last year or not but the fact that Nene is threatening to be the starter isn't a good sign. That spot is his to lose. I hope he steps up and just plays solid. 12/10 a night should be doable for him. Speaking of young guys, I don't know what Morey saw in Ennis but I doubt he's in the rotation.

Just one more game, we've already lost a starter, just hoping for no injuries in this last game so we can start the season finally!

Our bench is actually pretty strong, b/c they stick to their roles and defend more. Ennis, KJ, Corey, Harrell, Gordon really get after it defensively.

Interesting tidbit from last night's game. I was sitting in the arena with my wife and I hear someone behind me say "Since when did Harden start playing defense? If he had done this 5 years ago, they would have had a championship by now!" Granted I know he's talking about the Thunder team, but it was so nice to hear that a Mavs fan (I think a Mavs fan, definitely not a Rockets fan) noticed Harden's efforts on Defense. I believe this is while guarding Matthews when he was running around Bogut picks.

Also, I must say that Harden's court vision is OUTSTANDING! He was throwing bullet pinpoint passes that I didn't even see were wide open until the ball got to the man. I truly believe Harden could have had close to 20 assists last night had players hit their wide open 3s. We need a better ball facilitator off the bench. I gave Ennis a lot of hope, and he's been a major let down. Not sure If Bev will be back. I like GP2 better than any other guard on our bench. Also I really like Wiltjer

Seems to me he also has some Dirk, David Lee, Mozgov, Kyle Korver, JJ Reddick, Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, Jerry West, Detlef Schrempf, and Tony Kukoc in him.

Or maybe it's just his lack of melanin

Barnes is an even worse player than I imagined. Without his superfriends giving him wide open looks he can't hit the broadside of a barn.

Brewer has teared up after missing a big shot late in a game before. Dude has heart and coaches are drawn to that.

I'm rooting for him but we need to have a quick hook if he continues to scrub it up like last season.

I watched the game again and KJ was awesome. I think he's only missing some cockyness and some swagger.

i think Justin Anderson is a bigtime steal. Only pos for mavs. Rest of that team is system guys who play up to carslies system. and for us our starters look good. Im skeptical of bench right now

Last night was my first game to see this season.

I actually found myself cheering last night. Unlike last season I actually enjoyed watching the game even when the shots weren't falling.

If this team sustains this kind of kinetic frenetic energy it's going to be a fun season cause I think the wins will come and we are going to upset some teams along the way. What I saw last night looked great even when it wasn't.

I like our starting line up. But things that concern me are Anderson's defense. What happens when he's matched up with LMA, Griffin, or Draymond? There is no chance in hell he can guard those guys. Then the bench is weak. Ennis is a scrub and I'm not sure if Dekker is physical enough to play PF yet. He can score pretty well, but what happens when he's matched up with a stronger PF? But my main concern is the backup PG. Ennis sucks and Prigs is a 3rd/4th option on a good team. The Rockets should've got a better option than Ennis

Maybe. But Capela can only do so much. But that means Anderson will have to probably guard either the center of possibly a SF given the match up

    Good joke bro.

I agree, he doesn't rebound well. Thats why I said that "if he stops being a b**** on the glass." Both Dekker and Wiltjer played about the same amount of time (Wiltjer played 1 min less), and Wiltjer grabbed 2 more boards than Dekker.

Back in the day, Scouts thought that Kevin Love would not do well in the NBA because he LACKED ATHLETICISM and QUICKNESS. No one seems to care about that now. This kid has potential is all i'm saying.
