Again, I don't mean to sound sour and question Harden's injury or whatever. But, if it's really just a sore thumb, then I'm kind of disappointed in him. When you have so many players already missing games for various injuries, Asik excluded, I would want my star player to "suck it up" sort to speak and play with some nagging injuries. It's not like a sprained ankle or broken wrist or fingers, it's a sore thumb. Beverley came back from a broken hand early, Lin and Parsons have played with nagging injuries namely back spasms, and Howard hasn't missed a game yet. Just a kind of disappointing.

It's probably a jammed or sprained thumb.

He's played through all kinds of injuries and sickness.

I'd rather let him heal and play when he's healthy than rush him back which will affect his play and hurt the team.

It's his left hand no?

Harden hasn't been Harden like player for some time. He was always consistent about getting to the rim for either a layup or foul shots. Now it looks like he lost a step and is trying to drive right more. Maybe to diversify but in the mean time he looks slow and out of sync. I hate how he dishes the ball off at half time to someone else to shoot with 2 or 3 seconds left instead of driving hard to the bucket or pulling up for a jumper.

He did so last year a bunch and this year as well, no denying that. But I guess I just want our star player to want to go out every night to play, injury or not, within reason. Again, this is a big game for standings as well as tie breakers. And not having a good part of our rotation already hurts us as well and I would want my best player to know that and want to come back as soon as possible and possibly with some nagging injuries.

But, yes, if it is more serious than a sore thumb and he and the Rockets want to rest him up a little more, then by all means, let him sit out. But a mere sore thumb as being the reason for missing two big divisional games is disappointing for a Rockets fans.
