Problem is NO, Boston, and Philly (another team that struggles to score) all scored above their season averages when facing us. :( Our D is terrible right now. Hopefully Beverly will provide the boost of energy the team needs to play more d in this upcoming tough stretch.

It's pointless to speculate...he's not going to get nearly enough shots like Harden (or other point guards like Westbrook or Kryie). He's going to be more like a Rondo, Nash, or CP3 guard...pass first and breaking a 30+ a season. It speaks to say that any of those players or Lin can light it up when they are the need to become first option. It's a team dynamics thing.....

Just seeing the comments made here, I would be really interested to see a poll that shows who people think should be the main man for this team. It should be fairly obvious who it should be but I would love to see the numbers.

This team is just on a bad stretch right now, they'll bounce back for sure.

plus, it will allow harden and lin to rest more. Toney is better as a spot up

I want to blame McHale for Nowitzki's 10 points in the fourth quarter. He was contained to only 4 points in the first half. Delfino is 6'6" but McHale tasked him to guard the 7' Nowiztki almost the entire fourth quarter. No 6'6" player in the league can stop Nowitzki from making his famous step-back shots. Not even players with equal height. Sport Science has a video explaining why. It's on YouTube. And McHale should know better.

I have seen this kind of size mismatch so many times now over at least half a dozen lost games. Did our players do it on their own? Or they did just play the position McHale asked them to?

Does McHale care about size match ups? I don't think the Rockets can get to the second round in the post season with McHale even though I am still confident that they can make the playoff.

It was nerve racking. I was like why did we miss all these FTs & layups at a crucial time. Oh well, hope we can get back to the winning mode soon.

Dirk is so tall that it is difficult for anyone to guard him.

No doubt James is the better player, but does he necessary make his teammates better than Lin? Tough call...Lin did help Novak, Fields, and himself to nice contracts.

Your assumption is likely correct. Even the commentator tonight said in late third quarter when Harden and Lin showed signs for a turn around that "maybe the coach just asked them to stop playing the sets and play freely."

Lin has been playing sets in every game per McHale's requests but when they didn't work out well, all the blames went to Lin.

Not true. But that's exactly the reason why McHale should train others to do the PNR with Lin or other guards more in the future.

Has Shuh posted his/her post-game analysis yet? If I've missed it, can someone tell me which page it's on? Thanks.

So you are saying if we were to switch Asik with D12 Lin's/Harden's/Chandler's assist numbers wouldn't go up?

Comparing apples with oranges, let's shove Rondo in the corner every other possession and ask him to shoot spot up Js and how much you wanna bet his assists will go way down?

No one is asking the team to be built around Lin, how's about just using him as a starting PG instead of a spot up shooter? McHale likes to talk about playing to his player's strengths, I sure don't see him doing that with Lin, nor with Smith, nor with TD, nor with Morris, nor with Parsons for that matter, hell I don't think he's teaching Asik anything considering his background, he's only focused on Harden. How's about just getting better rotation in place so people like TJ/DMO/Anderson could be put to good use instead of 2min garbage time and less burn out for your starters?

Yes yes team needs this team needs that, how's about a PF with some post game or a center that can finish? Or consistent perimeter threats and not someone who goes cold if he doesn't have poisoned sausage? Its a young team, its got some ways to go b4 championship material.

I could start a "Fire glacier921 for Being a Chump and Not Recognizing Greatness if it Hit Him in the Face" thread, but I usually don't start threads. Besides, it would be calling out a member for being an idiot, and I would never do such a thing.
