He was hoping to not have to... which is why he left him in there for 2 possesions... but I guess he heard all the whining in the BBS, so he decided to comply.

He already knew the repercussions, however... the mavs got their confidence and weren't going to be stopped.

We got two, potentially -- Wells and Snyder. They need to be added to the rotation soon.

Luther Head is frustratingly one-dimensional. He shows flashes of being able to penetrate and create something. But it's rare. Generally, if he's dribbling the ball in a half court set something bad is going to happen. We'll either end up with a bad shot, or he'll turn it over.

He sure is. He is in no position however to know the internals of the organization.

The most realiable and quickest source of Rockets info is Jonathan Feigen who is much closer to the Rockets

when luther has the ball by himself, with ten seconds to go with iso, that is when the problems come. clock runs out, bad pass, shot with hand in face. he's just not so creative, even in illinois, he wasn't creative, he could always shoot the ball though

You are wrong MOST of the time.

Nothing personal, but please do not make inaccurate comments all the time. If you are not informed about a particular subject, please do not take guesses.

It would be appreaciated if you only posted when your facts were correct

yeah, someone asked if i was for the SF deal (no way, btw). but yeah, when snyder gets back and if wells ever gets healthy for more than 2 games, then i'll be feeling much better about our chances of holding down the fort until the big guy gets back. man, this game showed how much we lose when tmac leaves the floor, the offense got so stagnant, it was painful to see. if snyder and wells can get back, and get their games going quickly, then we'll be a lot more competitive.

He's short for his position, that's what ails him.

I like Luther a lot, but generally speaking I am not very fond of these short/undersized guards that JVG teams are notorious for. I love backcourt players with size and quickness because it gives you more options, allows you to throw combinations out there and create mismatches to your advantage. Dallas has done a great job stocking up on these guys, so has Phoenix.

Of course we have a 6-10 SF who is supposed to shoot the 3 well, be good at man to man D but suck at team rotational D, is young and moves much quicker than Deke. But actually changing your game plan to react to the opposing coach's changes and attempts to get mismatches is not something Gundy should ever do.

Why? It might actually work and then he would stay here longer.

The bench can come back for almost 30 pts vs the Lakers but we cannot and should not possibly try playing them against the Mavs for more than 2:30 at the end of the game.

I know, let's wear out the starting 5 until they have no energy at all for the back to back tomorrow.

rant on: Luther ran and drove the lane in college, now he does it 1-2 times per season. He looks so dam tentative. Why did he do this to his own self-confidence? I am sure JVG is on the side screaming "drive, Luther drive!" "slam Luther slam!"

Steve Nash would probably get benched on this team for not carrying out play #349 version Q properly.....

I like watching the Houston Robots. I like watching the precision of a Swiss timepiece on display. I like predictability.

Hey everyone, let's stand around watching our friend Tmac score 45 points tonight! Let's stand around on the perimeter and applaud his aggresive play.

    rant left in play mode.....

    4th quarter calls

ok......i know we didnt loose the game because of the refs but........was it just me or did it seem in the fourth quarter every time we breathed on them we got called for a foul......and when we got hammered it was a no call......i am sick of nba refs and their inconsistant calls.....there needs to be some kind of commission who watches every game and promotes or demotes nba refs......the games are way to inconsistant.....the other beef i have is while many stars in this league get star calls our stars seem to not......both yao and mac are respectful to the refs for the most part......while jacka$$es like garnett bark at them all the time.....hmmmm.....guess who gets the call......the disrespectful jacka$$......to me that makes no sence...if i were a ref i would ALWAYS be hookin up players who respect my decision......whats the dang deal?

2 of our best 3 players are not playing.

IF you take Howard and Nowitzki or Nowitzki and Terry off the Mavs, they wouldn't look too good either

they are lucky they dont get to see yao torch them down low this time around... like avery johnson said after last game yao was playing like he was the only one on court. I believe if rockets are with yao and tmac together today, mav would be owned by yao after they start to double tmac

Well did you not see how many techs the Mavs got. Calls went both ways. For the most part, they were all good.

Tmac hit the ball away from the ref and only got a delay of game call. I'm sure there was some "home-court advantage" but we had our chances and this loss, for the first time in a long time, had nothing to do with the refs.

That's really not fair. Bonzi is nowhere near the "3rd best player" as Terry is. But I'm sure you take them out, they will still find a way to win. It's not like Dirk brought them back. He was pretty much quiet the entire game. And then finally when things were going their way, he decided to join the party.
