Like most think, this won't be an easy one, but I like our chances. I don't see a blowout though.

Qtr1: Houston: Rockets gets a fast start. Tracy on fire.
Qtr2: Dallas: Mavs surge to tie.
Qtr3: Houston: Again, fast start. Non-Tracy on fire.
1st half of Qtr4: Dallas: Dirk evens the score.
2nd half of Qtr4: Houston: Back n forth, back n forth. Last team with the ball wins.

And, since the wife & I will be there, and she's sooooooo dang lucky, our presences will be the push to get the Rockets the win!

If you saw a team with a game stat line of 48.6% FG, 53.8% 3pt FG, and 87.5% FT, you'd have to like their chances. Unfortuantely, for Toronto, they lost the game.

In Dallas' 97-96 win over Toronto on Sunday, the Mavs took 17 more 2 point shots and 10 more 3pt FGs, which came primarily from a 14-4 edge on offensive rebounds, 10-6 edge on steals, while committing 3 fewer turnovers. Toronto had a higher FG percentage (34-70, 48.6% vs. 35-87, 40.2%) and outscored the Mavs from the free throw line 21-24 vs. 17-19, but 27 fewer shot attempts overall was a difference the Raptors just couldn't overcome.

If the Rockets protect the ball and dominate the defensive glass, both of which they've been very good at lately, Houston has a decent shot at winning in Dallas. But if Dallas gets 27 more shots, I guarantee the Mavs will be victorious.

This game is going to be really tough to win....but I wouldn't doubt it if we pulled it off...I wouldn't be totally pissed if we lost as long as we had a good effort....I know as we all do, we can beat the Mavs when we have our players back ...i think the rockets will play loose and could pull out a win...

    Rockets win
    98-96

    Rockets 25 27 23 32 107

the rocket's sound defense gives them a chance to win any game..

let's not forget what happened at the beginning of the season.. you could say they weren't gelled as a team, but throw all that out the window.

it comes down to the game itself.

    Yahoo.com game of the week!

    Game of the Week
Tuesday: Houston Rockets at Dallas Mavericks – One of the reasons the Rockets traded for Shane Battier in the offseason was that they needed someone to guard Nowitzki. Battier will be on the spot as Houston tries to slow down the Mavericks in this Southwest Division showdown.

This will be a good test for the Rockets. I'll be impressed if we very impressed if we win this game and still be okay losing if we lose by only a few points.

The big thing I think for this game is Shane Battier. Remember at the beginning of the year everybody would always talk about starting Shane Battier at Power Forward. Well this is and probably the only time you can do that. Dirk is gonna be trouble for us to play against. This will be a big test for Shane Battier and his ability to play this. If we keep Dirk under 30 points and hopefully keep Josh Howard, J.Terry, and Devin from having BREAK THRU games, we can pull this off, given a player besides T-Mac has a breakout game.

Dallas and Phoenix on back to back? Does any other team in the NBA go through this situation this season? Seems unfair. But I say we win both games!

If we win tonight, we pick up a game on the Mavs as well as the Spurs. If we lose tonight, we are a game further back from the Mavs but we lose no ground on the Spurs. Just win, Rocks!

Close one? The Mavs are all offense. If everyone plays to their average performance, and Tracy plays to his resurgent best, then the Rockets will annhilate the Mavs. Just like they did earlier this year.

The problem with Dirk is height, I Think Juwan could be more effective at guarding Dirk than Shane, simply because Shane is giving up three for inches to him and Juwan can keep a hand in his face and force him to D-up. I agree with starting Luther (or at least heavy minutes) and playing T-mac on Howard.

    Deke- Dampier
    Juwan- Dirk
    T-mac- Howard
    Head- Harris
    Terry-Alston

These next four games are gonna show what this team is made of, I'm looking for our best games of the season here, hopefully we're up for the task.

If we can win Dallas and Suns in the next two games, we are in business this season.

Even we lose these two, we are still OK since we play without Yao.

    Dirk Breaks his ankle
Howard gets ejected in a fight with scott padgett
Terry gets owned by Alston and Lucas
Cuban tossed from Arena for crying too loud
Dampier gets blocked by Mutombo 5 times then foul out

Head hits more threes to continue streak
    Tmac go for 50
    Howard get double double
    Mutombo gets 15+ Reb
    Shane takes 10 charges

Dallas fans leave the arena in the 2nd quarter leaves the whole arena to the redrowdies.

(THAT FELT GOOD!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D :D , its is going to happen!!!!)

I would rather see Battier on Howard and Tracy on Dirk throughout the game. I think these are better matches in terms of speed.
