i feel the same way. win or lose this game, we proved that we belong. with yao, i'm sure we belong.

we can actually be contenders this season!!

hopefully bonzi can come through in the palyoffs and we add a vet PG with the TE before the deadline.

 

and if rockets lose the game. Ban the thread starter!

 

They are going to double him a lot in the second half

Luther and Shane and Rafer are going to have to hit their 3's

Mark my words: "THis game will come down to Shane and Luther not Tmac"

If they knock down their open shots, we can win.

If not, we'll get them when Yao gets back

 

wholey schit. i would like to describe his first half performance as "unbeatable", but it wouldn't be right for hakeem's sake. go rox!

The great thing about TMac is that he's just as capable of dropping 10 assists in the second half. I think he will start racking up the free throws in the second half. I would have him drive to the bucket as much as possible down the stretch.

 

I hate Dirkgina. He's having another Dirkgina like game.

I don't know what she sees in that rodent-bear hybrid.

 

They are going to double team him more, but that just means he will get 7 assists in the 2nd half and Battier and Head go crazy on 3pters made.

 

To get an assist... that means another player has to knock down an open shot. That has yet to happen tonight, despite multiple good looks for Shane and Luther (I guess Rafer made a couple).

I look for Juwan to have a better half... he looked a little tentative on offense, and was a little weary of Dirk on defense.

 

indeed man, i hope he scores 60+ in this game, and i hope we win.

Avery will adjust and probably double McGrady. It's what I would do. Make those other guys beat you. Alston, Battier, Howard, & Head need to come in and hit their shots. If at least 2 of those guys get hot, this game is the Rockets to lose. If none of them can get going, it could get ugly.

Can't watch the game in Austin. Are they playing that well against Dork or is he just cold?

 

The Mavs defense up to now has been stupid. Obviously Tracy is on fire and they only put one player on him much of the first half. Clearly they will crack down in the 2nd half and force the other Rockets to make shots. Let's see how we respond.

For some reason the Mavs are playing soft and I don't know why. They sure don't look like a team on a tear. Our defense hasn't been very crisp either; neither has our rebounding. I think both teams will tighten the screws and there will not be as many points scored in the 2nd half.

 

Now you can see why George Karl was so adamant about never letting Tracy get a sniff of a good look last week. Just a couple of baskets in a row, and he'll get in the zone.

 

They will try to double team McGrady, but it is tough to double team a perimeter player with the ballhandling skills and decision making ability of TMac. The key for us in the second half will be the same key we have for every game - defense.
