    The Mavs are a damn good defensive team. They are just as good, or better than the Rockets, which is saying something.

    well they have the advantage for sure, but i'd match up talent (not possition) like this:

    dirk = tmac
    terry, howard = yao, shane
    damp, diop = deke, hayes (again, not a matchup but talent and production)
    harris = rafer
    george, buckner = bonzi, snyder

    we lose alot with: stackhouse, jonson vs. howard, lucas

    so while they may not matchup, the talent level is similar up to the last 2 palyers. albeit a great difference there.
