The frontline of the Magic just pushed the Rockets around all night. Add Wood's missing 10 FTs to the consistent, team-wide defense breakdowns and the result is the Rockets can't compete with the team that currently has the worst record in the NBA. We're coming for you Orlando! Sengun seems unplayable outside his current 15-18 minute window because 1) the overall offense is set up to gun sling, calling for heavy doses of iso-ball, featuring one-on-one shot creation sans movement, and 2) Sengun actually expects teammates that will play within a defensive system/rotations. He doesn't really have the chops (yet) to create one-on-one from the perimeter or to switch out alone on defense. I bet we could trade him + the ever-rising Nets pick and double-dip in the draft's the top tier. Other GMs will certainly ask about his availability. I hope we don't and choose to upgrade our staff instead. Let's find another coach that can help maximize our assets. At this point, Silas seems resigned to playing this out, trying to farm out equality of minutes. He may have found a balance that is helping Green, finally.
No, he regularly plays more minutes than anyone else...all the while handling the ball the most, and playing defense all over the place. (including switching onto bigs inside)
I don’t understand your gripe with Stone not trading Wood. He would be a Laker now if the Lakers agreed to give Rockets that First Rounder. Stone was right in playing hardball. At the end of the day Stone agrees Wood is expendable.
it seems there is no incentive in nba to win...youre better off featuring players with cool haircuts and nail polish
Who would’ve thought at the time that this would’ve been Suggs’s only basket of the game? Probably the worst off the backboard dunk I’ve ever seen because it bounced under the rim instead of above it.
So Jalen Suggs + their 5th pick for the right to draft Banchero? We need the 1st or the 2nd pick for sure.
It’s worth thinking about certainly. I want Chet or Jabari. Suggs and the 5th for the 3rd pick. I think I’d do that. Suggs and Green are good friends too. They’d probably much rather give up Cole Anthony though I would imagine. Cole is however a much better player right now. I just don’t know about him.
That is the best Green has looked in my opinion. Any progress is encouraging. Seems like he is getting more into the flow of the game. Rockets still stink, but I guess that is the plan. If we could get J. Smith and trade Wood.
I’m sorry, but the more I watch it, this dunk is ass. He apparently did a better version in 9th grade that didn’t come back to him below the rim.
