I wasn't referring to your specific history, but that of those who vigorously defend Rafer (based on your post, I put you in that group). I've had to listen to these people tell us how "fine" his shooting is when he was 35% from the floor.

Rafer's been shooting much better lately -- particularly from three (insane the last 3 games) ... but that highlights my point. He has to do well in this area. 9 threes tonight! I think all of those were in his first 25 minutes on the floor too.

If Rafer shoots at a great clip the rest of the way and in to the playoffs, then I'm wrong. Beat me over the head all you like because I'd deserve it... I am saying now what I've said for some time: I don't trust the guy to do that.

Just don't tell me he doesn't need to shoot well ... that he's irreplaceable at a 35% clip.

(and I'm not talking specifically to you, Brock)

I am glad the Rockets won and saw the box score that Jake got some PT. Now JVG should give Snyder more playing time and VSpan at least 5 minutes at the PG through out the rest of season.(that would make me happy).

Next time we lose you will see the rafer hate, the I know more than jvg people, and other fun bs posts. Rafer has been playing very well lately and runs the team very well. It would be great to see him miss one game just to see how bad we would be with spanoulis playing.

This game should be on the NBA.com as an archive game for us that didn't get to see the game.

    To recap:

    Snyder needs to play more...

    Snyder needs to play more...

    Snyder needs to play more.

    Good day, now!

You can get by with Chuck Hayes and Dikembe Mutombo missing shots... they have roles that go beyond shooting and they don't shoot often.

Rafer's role goes beyond "setting up the offense". That's a cop-out. He has, all season, shot the ball like the third scorer. He has consistently taken the 2nd or 3rd most shots on the squad. It's uninspiring to watch this guy knowing the Rockets can be much, much better (and I'm not talking about with Nash or Billups).

But yes, I agree... he's played much better lately. The proof of that is in the numbers (just as the proof that he was crap before that is as well).

If chuck is missing his layups then that is a problem as well.

I just don't understand jvg stubborn ways kirk is just way too good not to be playing. We have enough shooters we need guys that cant take it to the basket.

Let the boy skip enjoy his little moment. He has been playing great since all star. He is shooting better 3 point shots lately. Only thing i hate right now are the dam floaters.

I agree. I'm not a Rafer fan by any means, but he's the best player the Rockets have at the point guard position. I've never understood the fascination people have with Spanoulis. He can't shoot, does not play defense, and doesn't seem to be interested in earning more playing time.

I agree, I don't know why kirk is not getting more playing time, someone plz give me a reason. Look at his eyes in the close-up, he is eager and hungry to be on the court.

Ugh, the Rafer hate is so blind here... I'm not a Rafer lover or anything, but one man will not and can not lose a game for us. That's just flawed thinking. I agree, he's got to hit his shots, but so does everyone else. He's been playing better lately, and I think he will even moreso once Yao comes back. Nice tough win.

Kirk needs to be put in when Bonzi is starting to struggle or as a backup SF for T-Mac when Battier is playing at the 4 spot. We can't afford to have a small backcourt all the time.

Tmac had a nice dunk in the game. He also hit a very clutch shot to put us up by 4. It was nice, right over Ariza. Brilliant!
