ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Magic 12/23/2015

Down the stretch it seemed like the Rockets went against what got them back into the game. That might have been the Dwight pick and role, and instead possibly tried a possible Lawson and Harden pick and roll toward toward the end of the forth quarter of the game.

 

And this is their issue ! It's almost as if they just don't care or they don't try on every single possession they just half azz it for 2 1/2 qrts !!!!!

 

When they started 5-10, I said I would be happy if they were 15-15 after 30 games. Here they are, 15-15 after 30 games.

 

There was so many laughs at Dallas expense in the off season but they have a better record than Houston and Memphis and will probably finish with a higher seed. That's sad

 

That explains the ball game in a nutshell. That many BRICKS kills transition defense. Folks are pissedoff in here saying our defense sucks but when you rim that many shots with a team like the Majic it puts way to much pressure o nour Defense to recover.

we need better shooters for sure, our FG% and 3FG% for the season is 43.4% and 33.8%, which ranks 21st and 23rd in the league, if not for our talent we should really not be in the playoff position right now

 

This team is dumb

After the first quarter demolition of the Clippers, they should know that you come out strong and that sets the tone. Instead of the half-assing for 3 quarters before deciding to show up. At which point we are double digits down and get it close only for the other team to run away in the end

 

Lol, they are only up a game on us. Plenty of time to have a better record than them. That won't be a problem

 

That was the worst designed inbonds play with a few seconds left on the clock I've ever seen. Everyone was bunched up with absolutely no spacing. How about this. Have Harden at the opposite end at the baseline and run multiple screen for him as he runs towards the inbounder in front of the three point line.

Of course they aren't going to get a decent shot up with everyone is bunched up.

 

Maybe we're expecting too much of them. Maybe they really are this Rockets team that struggles to hang with below average ballclubs and not the one that destroyed the Clippers. I mean after 30 games, we may have to concede that it's no longer a slump or a slow start.

 

oh and I'd rather see Beverly and Ariza attempt 23 layups, pass to Capela,Howard in the paint..anything except 6-23 on three point attempts

 

Another 20+ point loss at home on Xmas. Ebenezer Popovich goes hack a crazy.

 

They are ALOT more competitive than Houston with ALOT less talent.

 

That's the bizarre thing. When you're playing alongside a superstar player you're going to get wide open shots yet our players can't hit them.

4 seasons into the Harden era and Morey still can't find an elite 3&D wing.

 

They are lazy. They just don't care enough to play hard the entire game.

 

Ariza and Beverly 6 -23 on 3 point attempts. There is SOOO MUCH to diagnose from this terrible stat I don't even know where to start...how it impacted the offense and the Rox defense is a total understatement
