Chase is a better playmaker than Ariza. In essence, Ariza is no playmaker but a solid role player.

Yao DOES count as a roster spot. So we will have to cut one of Cook/Pops/Joey

Cook's playing with effort, but his limited hops and inadequate post defence might not give him a good chance at making the team... (unless Pops and Joey do worse than him...)

    "right now".

I know Chase still needs to put in some work, but he has been playing on a higher level than the rest of our players mentally. Of course, Scoly has not played yet, along with Shane.

At the very least, Chase looks like he belongs on the court with quality NBA players, and his footspeed is not THAT bad...

Thanks for the reminder. My bad for not listing him. Probably because he didn't play (much) for the last 2 seasons

We need about 2 more preseason games before Adelman can truly pick a starting 5.

Valid points but I'm reluctant to declare Chase the BEST player on the team since he doesn't really have NBA experience, much less Playoff experience (unlike Brooks, Lowry, and Scola, who have proven to be productive when it counts).

I'm very impressed by Chase's showing this summer league and pre-season games so far... Hope he keeps improving his game, which I think he will have no problems in doing (He has Shane for a mentor on defence and T-Mac on offence).

He definitely belongs in the NBA and could come off the bench and play significant minutes this season.

Pops has looked weak to me. To many ill-advised jumpers, and has seemed lost down low. I would be ok with him gone. However, I definitely would like to keep Conroy, very strong.

Same feeling here. But I'd be indifferent if we ended up cutting Pops or Dorsey as a matter of fact. He just hasn't impressed me so far with his inability to get his shots off UNDER the basket (got blocked numerous times by Gortat) and less-than-average post defence.

We clearly don't need another Hayes type of player who can't play defence.

(don't get me wrong I like Hayes and his defence, but the fact is way below average in terms of scoring ability)

I still think Yao and T-Mac are better than Scola or Brooks.

I like Conroy, and hope he'll stick. He might come in handy.

I'd already forgotten about Barry, or, at least, assumed it'd be "no problem" to get him off our roster. Hope that's a correct assumption!

If we keep Conroy, we might have to cut/deal/somehow eliminate Cook, Pops, AND Joey. That'd leave us with Andersen, Chuck, and ScoLandry on the Center Committee. That's thin, and undersized--but we might be able to run with that.

I want to keep Will Conroy and I want to see us trade Cook, Dorsey, Barry, and Andersen to the Clips for Camby. It would essentially be Andersen for Camby.

You would trade Yao for Gortat? I think we can do better.

It'd be great for us if this deal goes through. But I think the Clippers can get much better talent in return than this offer.

I assume he's only counting the players that can be traded now (Yao and T-Mac can't be traded because they are, well, (kind of for t-mac, he wouldn't pass the medical) injured)

I don't know why you want Camby so bad. I wonder if he could even stay healthy. I know with the Nuggets he was relatively healthy, but it seems his body was down last year and this year he already hyperextended his knee.

Sorry, I think I'm just tired of players prone to injury.
