8 TOs = 6 points even at the 38% the Rockets were shooting. That's the game. Not blaming VSpan, but he's really got to do something about his control.

Lucas should be kept before VSpan! He only drives and turn the ball over. At least Lucas can shoot. Plus he runs the offense much better than VSpan

Damn it, FRUCK Reebok! Yao, fire Reebok! They suck! It's the shoes that sprained Yao's right ankle tonight. Thank goodness it's not his left ankle!

unless you consider jacobson good enough to be a backup 2, head is our man there.

he is not a PG, unless tmac is playing with him. in that situation tmac plays point and luther is off the ball.

JVG wants 3 guys who he can trust to play point, not just in name, not including tmac.

Anyone hear comments or see visuals of how bad Yao's ankle looks?

Did you see the stare JVG give Vspan after the game. He looked real pissed because of the turnovers and the fact he didn't try to get a shot faster at the end of the game. VSpan won't play in the regular season other than garbage time. Rafer will play around 37 minutes a game and the rest of the PT will go to T-Mac at the point and maybe Luther.

When Yao was sitting down it didn't look that serious. He was just pointing to his ankle saying that something was bothering him, but I really didn't see pain on his face.

    damn it your right.

well the rockets invested very little in his so there is no real loss if he doesn't work out. ther eis a big let down though.

Popovich got pissed at Parker/Ginobili in the beginning for stuff like that too. I think Spanoulis will figure it out, play somewhat under control (if he plays completely under control he's really no good), and end up getting significant minutes.

If that is the case, they should send Bill to NBDL so he can work. I bet he either gets minutes here or in Little Rock. I would venture a guess that both Billyh and Lucas fall in and out of JVG's doghouse a couple times this season. They'll probably pass each other going back and forth from Little Rock. They probably ought to just go co-op on a car and apartment over there and just leave it in Little Rock for the other guy coming up there.

your right. my bet is luther comes in and plays off the ball on offense then guards the PG.

nothing against vspa. he just needs to get more comfortable with the nba game like any rookie would. especially PG's. they have it the hardest.

after pre-season i would bet the rotation looks something like this:

    yao (36) - hayes(12)
    shane (30) - jho (18)
    tmac (36) - novak (12)
    snyder (30) - luther (18)
    rafer (36) - luther (12)

bonzi won't play until he starts practicing with the team.

i'm not surtain that sending a guy to the NBDL is the best thing to do for every young player.

billy would benifit more from practicing with nba players for an nba coach. he knows how to play. he has all the skills. there is no need for development, only instruction.

Not V-Span's best game at all. Seems like he took a couple of steps back today. But he'll get better.

You know, nothing against Juwan, but I don't think he's going be with this team for very long. Jeff isn't going to just let him play all of a sudden in the regular season. I don't care how much of a know commodity he is, even dike is playing. There has to be a trade in the works. Damn my paranoia... :(

unfortunately yes... The rockets if they are thinking years down the road need to entertain offers for tmac and yao. Im sick of every game holding my breath hopeing this isnt the game yao or tmac gets hurt. Its really stessing. I know the rockets are in "win now" mode but what if they dont win the championship this year? Then your stuck with injury prone superstars getting older and older and the odds of winning the championship will dwindle each year following this one.

I dont know yaos or tmacs trade value but at this point give me marion/bell for tmac and a nice bigman for yao and Ill be happy. That bigman would have to be like Jermaine oneal or dirk or dwight howard. Im sick of tmac clanking shots when Novak and battier are standing WIDE open . I have no problem with yao other than his feet are now injury prone. Humm, chicago has alot of trade bait, give me hinrich/thomas for tmac and I'd do it. At some point this year tmac's back will go out and EVERYONE that disagrees with my post now will agree with me at some point. a team of alston/hinrich/battier/tyrus/yao is even better than now. I know centers are hard to come by, so I'll give yao a little longer than tmac to prove himself, but as far as tmac I gave up last year. If yao gets injured again however, then his trade value will plummet. I think at this point you give me curry/& that rookie pf stud(rondo?) on the knicks for yao and Id do it.

Dwight Howard is going to be awesome this year. Everyone is predicting it's Yao who's going to be the best center in the game this season, but don't count out this guy. I can see him averaging around 20 and 14.
